Default Online Marketing Sites

What are the other online marketing sites available besides Etsy, Shop Handmade and Artfire? There used to be one call Miss Arty Barty but I can't seem to find it anymore. Also I have some questions about selling online.

1. Is it ok to sell the same item at more than 1 site?
2. Which site has the widest reachout rate?
3. My Etsy shop has been up for quite a while but so far only 1 sale. Is it really so difficult for a foreigner to reach out to US consumers?
4. Other than Etsy, which are the other sites worth selling at?

Ebay will give you more exposure than any of the other sales sites, with Etsy running second. Of course with ebay you are going to pay for all the traffic. But if you are starting out it may be worth it. What are you selling?

It can be hard to get started on Etsy, you need to bring people to your shop, just listing items on Etsy isn't always enough. Plus keep in mind jewelry is probably the toughest category on Esty since there is more of it than anything thing else on the site.

Different sites have different rules but most do not expect you to stay exclusive in what you sell, so yes, you should be able to sell the same or similar items on different sites.

Most people shopping on Etsy will buy from other countries, I have a few times with great success. And I've personally had lots of sales in my Etsy shop from other countries. Just make sure your prices are good and your shipping rates are reasonable. I've seen shops out of the states that are asking way more for their items than you could get them here in the US and also shops with crazy shipping costs too.

Hope that helps
