Chunky books

What are they? How do you make them?? I've seen a couple of swaps for chunky books, but when I search the forums, I don't really find any information on them.... I'd like to try a mini-album of some sort (time to expand to something new), but haven't decided what to try, yet... :)

My first thought is that you were talking about altered board books--you know, like a children's book made over?

I think you're seeing what in the UK would be called a "fat book" - I just did a google search and it looks like the terms are interchangeable. Fat books typically have 4" x 4" pages and people participate in swaps so you'd make a page for other people's books to their chosen theme and they would make a page for yours. I believe they're called "fat" or "chunky" because the pages are often heavily embellished so you get a thick finished product which is kind of tactile (touchy-feely books for grownups is one way I've heard them described!).

HTH!
