Default Anyone else in the path of hurricane Noel?

I am a bit scared because we are right on the water. It has been downgraded to a tropical storm but they still said it would be very bad. We have supplies and everything just in case but I sure don't look forward to days without hot water and power etc.

I hope I am overreacting and it will all be okay...

I just checked some of the news channels. Noel seems to be diminishing in strength as it proceeds north. Will pray for it to fade completely very soon.

(I'm way over on the west coast)

I'm in Alberta and I heard it is a tropical storm now also. Hopefully the worst will only be heavy rains! That would be bad enough! Stay safe if you can.!

My family is in Halifax and Amherst. My dad is wheelchair bound, on the second floor and not in good health. Everytime I hear about a storm brewing out there, I become very nervous since if the power goes out and he needs to go to the hospital, an ambulance needs to be called... and did I mention he is a big man!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you, my family and everyone... here is hoping that it is no where near as bad as they were thinking it was going to be!

The storm turned out to not be as bad as warned - we lost power and a few trees. Some buildings were damaged (bricks falling off the mortar) but we got away with no damage. The neighbor's patio furniture blew off the balcony but no one was hurt.

Thanks all

Glad to hear you are OK and no damage. Having been through Katrina two years ago, I know first hand how miserable it is when you have damage. But at least that's all just "things" and they can be replaced. Glad to hear you faired well!
