Default Inside verse for seriously ill person

I had a request to make a card for a man who probably has only a short time to live. This is tough. This is through our weekly craft sale, and I neglected to ask 2 questions that would have helped - so I don't know how close the person is, nor if it should be spiritual in theme.

Does anyone have an idea? I read a lot of the verses in the download of sayings - found nothing suitable.

I would say that if you don't know his spiritual stance, then I would keep it simple. Something like:

Sending warm thoughts your way to comfort you.
Thinking of you at this time. May the love of family and friends give you comfort.

I'm not sure...I do have more religious ones if need be, but these above were from my head.

Ooh, that is a hard one. Do you have the 'All I Have Seen' set? The verse with that one is 'All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen' -Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Good luck with this one. If I come up with anything better I'll post again. Hopefully someone else will be more inspired...it's been a long day!!

Thinking of You During this Difficult Time is my "go to" phrase for horrible situations. Sorry you have to deal with this.

Dorothy, I use this site for lots of quotes to add to cards, has something for every situation and then you can add more to the quotes.

I have a You are in my thoughts and prayers stamp that I use a lot for things like this. Of course you need to know if the people are spiritual.

Here are a few I have gathered that are not religious:

Where love is, we see light even in the dark places.

This difficult journey can be endured if we travel hand in hand--I'm here for you.

Wishing you strength and courage in this difficult time.

Any of these can be printed on a computer to use inside the card.

Several good ideas here that I am using - unfortunately, this is a common need. Thank you everyone.

I also revised a couple of verses I use, and here are the new ones:

It's natural to think of you
In a very special way
To ask that God may send you
His blessings from above.
Thinking of you today.

Another:
With the warmest of wishes
This just comes to say
You are thought of often
Today and every day.

This comes with
warm hugs
And lots of love.
