Avator help?

How do I get a picture to use for my avator? I don't have any good pictures just yet so it shows you can type in a site...but where do you find these at?

I don't know a heck of a lot about finding an avatar, but a google search will reveal a lot, I'm sure. once you've found one, upload it as an attachment here, then I'll tell you how to apply it to yourself.
