Saw the cutter on the blog when Julie went to the craft convention (can't remember the exact name of the show) and have been thinking of it ever since. Just can't justify spending that money on what would amount to two blades as I have two cutters that make perfectly straight cuts. Of course, before I had children I said I would never give my child a pacifier so who knows if I will give in and buy the cutter. The purple card is beautiful!

I have had it on my wish list for a while now! I really need to stop coming to this site. I can't help it! I just think to myself a little hanging out there won't hurt me and then pretty soon I have bought an atg gun, stamp sets out the wazoo (ones that I previously didn't like ), primas, ribbon, crop-o-dile, rubicoil, stickles, stardust clear glitter pen, med. weight chipboard coasters, cuttlebug. The list goes on and on! At least when I am broke and have no money, I can go play with my expensive toys and keep myself busy. I will have to stamp in the day, cause there will be no light. If you can't afford food, you lose weight right? Do we really ever have enough?

Just an FYI: You can do this cut (and others--deckle, etc.) with the Cutterpede trimmer. They sell different cutting blades for it.

The Cutterpede is a portable paper trimmer and is made by EK Success.
I experimented with it a few times at a store, but, I wasn't impressed with it . . .
The Create-a-Cut is a professional grade tool, so if precision is important, it would be a tool worth investing in.

Oh, my. How do I justify $100+ for yet another cool cutting tool? Hmm...

Remember all the $$ we are saving by not buying Hallmark.....

Well... I truly doubt my ability to save money when it comes to stamping supplies. I think I could probably have bought my own Hallmark store by now!
You know the story....
One handmade card - $3
$4000 in stamping supplies--priceless!
(The numbers were changed to protect the willpower challenged.)
Anyway, I just ordered a Create-a-Cut from Ellen H's store today and she emailed me that it would ship out tomorrow. Can't wait to get it and start practicing. She says it takes a while to get used to using it, so I'm ready to start my "basic training" when it gets here. The practice sequence is: no paper, copy paper, and then work up to cardstock.

I LOVE my Cutterpede and the different blades work well. It's worth a try considering how inexpensive it is compared to the Create-a-Cut. JMO ; )

My Fiskars Rotary Cutter has different blades as well and I've used them for edges on cards. I can't buy one more cutter...my collection of tools needs their own room!
