I can’t see the phrase “Luna moth” without thinking of the book The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon which I enjoyed greatly! It’s the comic book name of one of the characters.
How fun! I have a drawer full of punches, I just can't part with yet. How about you? What is your favorite punch, your first punch? Do you still regularly use punches?
My first punch was a Martha Stewart Punch-Around-the-Page. It's what started my passion for cardmaking. I actually think my favorite punches are probably the Martha Stewart, butterflies, and the snowflake. I do not use punches because I enjoy using heavier cardstock and the punches won't punch through it.
I have a lot of punches. My favorite is my Fiskars corner rounder. I have the WRMK corner rounder but prefer my Fiskars. My other favorites are border punches. I like now easy it is to place a border when needed. I have several border dies and rarely use them.

today was day one of a 2 day booth I do at a school around the corner from my house so I will be playing catch up on Sunday. Have a good weekend people!
So, I did a thing... ( I have been eyeballing counter height "project" tables for some time now and what stopped me from buying them was one version had shelves for the ends and the other had cubby hole cubes.) and both of them were not sized to fit common papercrafting things. ( less than 12")
SO, enter months later we went to home depot.. and I found some metal Husky work benches. ( thes are metal bases with two drawers and butcher block looking tops. ( they raise to 42" high) whoo hoo... however this prompted me to take everything I had stashed under the plastic table out and you know everything off the plastic table. so my space looks like an episode of hoarders came through...
the issue I have is, I have a painting done for the WC to go live tomorrow. ( but, I have buried my paper trimmer)
(if you were a paper trimmer where would you hide? ( this is a big one from Staples not a tiny little thing) you all may end up with another desk mug shot if I cannot find it.
Oh, and the executive decision was made that I am retired from having a card booth at the school. It was a good 12 years. I will miss parts of it but, not the actual being there thing. ( it was people-Ly out there this weekend)
Wow! Stacy! 12 years is a long time! It seems to be very peop-ly out in our town too. I love your new tables! How fun! I wish I could think where your trimmer might be. And you are further ahead than I am. I haven't even looked at the WCW challenge yet. Yikes! I am not sure what happened with time today. I sure was busy all day but no stamping and I have deadlines in the works. yikes!
Plot twist is... I have found my pre-made card bases. And the big shot never moved or the dies so, I can work with this.
YAY. seriously, I will have to take a photo of this disaster stage.
Its utterly overwhelming how much stuff I have collected over the years and you have no clue unless you, take everything out of your room but, really I only have a wrapped around corner of a room and a whole lot of stuff (tiny things) was hidden in those drawers and I was just amazed. I think the putting it away will take a lot longer as I want it to be more functional as far as like things together. ( like different sizes of envelopes in drawers near each other rather than spaced out along different shelves in the closet kind of a thing. )
Stacy, I work at a desk in the living room. I have an Ikea bookcase on the wall in the dining room that is open concept to the living room so I don't have as much stuff because of limited space and needing to try to keep it somewhat neat. Even so, I do manage to have quite a bit and now need to move my desk out so I can paint the walls (it would have been nice to paint before we moved in but we were under a SERIOUS time crunch). I look forward to painted walls...but not moving the desk and all the stuff associated with that.
It will be nice for you to have this opportunity to organize your things like you mentioned. Enjoy the process!
the entire gallery seems to have gone poof this morning? ( I now have 8 cards from 2013) lol.
So, if you are participating in challenges and looking forward to the warm fuzzies of comments from people there could be delays for that.
Ok, so while the gallery is on Thanksgiving break, make sure to link your cards in the comment section for each challenge so the hostesses can visit you and enjoy your beautiful creations!
***Just joking, SCS never takes a break but I thought I would make light since the gallery outage is falling near Thanksgiving in the US.***
What a great opportunity for us to be thankful for how much our Admins do and how much fun SCS galleries provide us most days!
Well, with my daughter home from college, and my husband beginning his Thanksgiving vacation, my brain lept clear over to Friday! I was searching for the MIX to link! Haha! Even odder, is the fact that we don't have a normal schedule like most people so why did I think it was Friday just because my husband is home today? His days off are Wed/Thur right now.
I am not seeing things by clicking on keywords but, if I go to the daily uploads on the home page that is working at the moment so, repairs are underway I am thinking.
And the card I made for it is the one using the alcohol ink on Yupo background which I had used as a palette for stamping the poinsettia Peaceful Wishes card with Lift-Ink WT872 Note To Self by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
I am hoping I get to play today (later) hubs hauled all the metal things he has been spray painting white backupstairs yesterday afternoon. So, I am trying to put things away.
Question about today's featured stamper - I saw someone refer to her as Sue, like you did, Stacy, but in the write up, it refers to her as Sherri so I wasn't sure which was correct. Love her SCS handle though.
Edit: I see that the write up now says Sue as well.
I clicked on her link to her blog to see her name? ( because, I was to lazy to double check how to spell her screen name at first cuppa joe time...)
I have been cleaning and sorting and reorganizing all day. ( the end is much closer in sight)
but, I have not done anything beyond thinking about creating.

I hope that all who celebrated had a lovely Thanksgiving!
I took a break and just enjoyed family. A LONG break. My son said how nice it was that I wasn't always dashing off to my art room.
Now it's time to really get busy!
