NO it's not true. Shelli & her husband purchased Clear Snap which will remain separate. It will not be part of SU!

Thanks for the info and the link! Interesting! I wonder how it will impact SU! even tho they are keeping them separate - more of their products carried w/ or w/o the SU! label perhaps?

I tried to edit my response - but couldn't ?? Anyway I went to the clearsnaps website and they make colorbox ink pads - perhaps thats where the original thought came from.

So ultimately what you are saying is that Stampin Up is making so much money off of us buying their stamps that they could purchase a major company like Clear Snap......hmmmmmm?

The SU link mentions that ClearSnap is based in Anacortes, WA. I just thought I would add that my son works for a plastics manufacturer in Bellingham where they produce the "cat's eyes" and "petal points" -- the bases and the lids for the ink.
Because his work is just part of an assembly line, DS didn't actually know what they were producing. He came over one night when I was stamping and asked. "What's that thing you have in your hand?" Fast forward to end of conversation..... He learned what all those little triangular things called petal points really are and I learned that I need to buy lots more (LOL) Colorbox ink to support the factory here in town.

Well not just Stampin' Up is making that much money. Shelli and her husband are making enough money to purchase a major company, SU didn't buy it- they did seperately from SU.

And since SU carries Clear Snap products they are going to make even more profit on those particular items!
