Default Help me!

I'm going crazy over here!!!! I need help with the Angel Policy--I'm so confused! When you stamp an item that will be sold, does it have to have just 'handstamped by' or does it actually have to have the stampin' up logo or copyright? Please set me straight!!!!!! Jennifer

Just use a SU approved "hand stamped by" stamp and you are fine to sell it. There are personalized ones you can buy and there is a generic set I believe on page 190.

And believe me~ the Angel Policy has confused me for over a year, so don't feel bad!

Hi Jennifer,

When you are stamping an item to sell, you need to have an Angel Policy Stamp on the back of the item. The stamps that qulaify for this are Handmade with Love and Handmade with Love II found on page 190 of the current SU! Idea Book and Catalog. What these stamps have the the other "stamped by" sets don't is the SU! copywright.

Hope that helps!

Ok, I'm still confused! I understand that it has to be a Stampin' up approved 'handstamped by' stamp but when I stamp it on the item, does it have to have the COPYWRIGHT stamped on the item. I do not have a catalog but I do have the 'hand-stamped with love' stamp with the flying angel.

From what I understand it has to have the copyright on it.

My understanding has always been that as long as you have the copyright and "Stampin' Up!" on there, you should be fine. Even if it is something you can't stamp the copyright on - you can stamp it on a tag, etc., that is on the item when it is purchased - to be taken off by the customer. Example - you're selling pins, you attach them to a business card size piece of cardstock, possibly stamped with other things, but definitely with the copyright.....

I remember someone having this question on another loop and calling DS about it. What they said all you *had* to have was the copyright line that is on the handstamped stamps. So if you didn't want the image on the back too, you could just use a marker and ink up only the copyright portion.

HTH!
