Default New SU catalogue; what stamp set did you buy first and catalogue faves.

Hi All! Here in Australia, we only got our new catalogue on the 1st April, and yesterday I received my first order for the year and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new set Upsy Daisy. Made soo many cards last night, and so many possibilities. Even my sister (who doesn't stamp) loved it so much she had to join in, and for her first attempt she did an awesome job.

1: So what was your first stamp set for this year?

2:Like everyone I have a long list of favourites; what's yours?

3:And can you remember what your first stamp purchase was?

Ooh! I LOVE Upsy Daisy, too. I'm glad you've got it now.
I also love Branch Out and Inspired by Nature.
I could go on and on...
Do you have the Big Shot in Oz? I love making things with those dies!

No Big Shot here in the Su catalogue - one day maybe!

My favourite sets in this catalogue are Holiday LineUp and Crazy for Cupcakes.
I'm (im)patiently waiting for Build a Roo :-D

Hmm, first set was Wild About You I think. love that set still.

I suppose the benefit of us getting it a bit later than you guys do is that there's already lots of ideas on splitcoast for the new sets. Also I find I buy sets that I wasn't all that keen on to begin with, after I see what other people have done with them. The not so great thing about it is having to wait to play :( and hopeing that the sets we like make it in our catty too.

As Metalcharm said, we don't have the bigshot. Though in our catalogue there are examples of the top note die used...hopeing it's possibility of a teaser of future mini catalogue. *fingers crossed*

OOh, I love the cupcakes too.

I'm the same. Most of the time I only have to wait a couple of days for my demo to call me, but it's an agoninsing wait and I want it as soon as I order! Fortunately for me she only lives around the corner.

I don't think I could ever sell any of my stamp sets, even if I had to. I love them all. I'm going to hold off on getting the Fifth avenue floral, I don't want to have to choose between using that or mixed bouquet. Maybe I could use them together??

1. My first set from new catty was pocket sihouettes...just love nature inspired silhouettes!
2. Some sets on my LONG wish list are Just Buzzin By, Inspired by Nature (seems to be a favorite), Cute and Cuddly, Totally Tool, Animal Crackers, Branch Out and on and on! Next order will have the dp Sweet Slumber on it too. From the mini I NEED Walk in the Park dp and Scene in a Garden stamp set.
3. I don't know the name of my first set. I took it out of the box way back when... The first two were multi-themed sets...birthday, thank-you, baby, etc.

I like the pocket silhouettes too, but will probably be one of those sets I'll get after seeing what others have done with it.
We don't have some of those sets in our catalogue...maybe for a future mini?
totally tool looks good, especially as I don't make many manly cards. I ordered the urban garden DSP and carousel notes II to make a purse similar to my friend TraceyMay1.

.

I know the feeling, I have to get one too. I'm not good at saving as it is (though Im trying) and when I see all those pretty things it's hard to resist!
I like the "season of friendship", but I don't know if it was released in Aus. I only found my demo last August. I also like the punch in the curly label bundle, but not too fussed with the stamp set it comes with. I did read somewhere that the US has a similar die for the big shot which is NAH :(

I know you said you weren't too fussed on the new carousel notes, but I love the new colours. Someone said that riding hood red is similar to either real red/ruby red i forget which one? Don't know if it is or not

Hey what if we organise ourselves, and on the weekend of the VSN, we camp at one of our houses for the weekend, and participate in all the challenges for the weekend, we would be so stamped out, it would not be funny.

but just think about the fun, 48 hours of no sleep, just stamping and making cards and competing in all the challenges. Every hour a couple of glasses of wine or coffee, nibbles, giggles, and loads of card making.

What do you think girls, i am happy to have it a my place, near gosford. I know some cardies on the coast also, whom would probably like to join in, all you would need is you cardies supplies.

OI OI OI, SHOULD BE AWESOME, LIKE A STAMPING WEEKEND AWAY. NO KIDS, JUST CARD MAKING, FRIENDS, NO SLEEP, ALCOHOL AND FOOD. sounds fine weekend.
