Default Cards made with Cuttlebug folders?

Hi everyone,

We see lots of cards in the gallery using the large cuttlebug embossing folders but not many using the small (the sets of 4).
I have just purchased my first lot of these little folders and would love to see some cards done using them.
Please post a link to your card if you have used them!

Many thanks

Karen

I posted this one a while back--it has sold really well for me for some reason. I guess simple sells!

Wendy.... I love all these cards, so had to browse through your gallery. All your cards and projects are wonderful, but what really caught my attention was your awesome stamp room! Wow!!! I am considering expanding the finished portion of my basement to make a craft room. Your's is a wonderful model. Thanks for posting all your pictures.

Subscribing to this thread because I don't want to miss any wonderful samples that will get posted! Just purchased the small frames folder (sq style) at Michaels yesterday. Somebody please post a sample using these so I will know what to do with them!

Gorgeous samples so far - all have gone into my favorites file. TFS

Here's one:
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...&ppuser=105620

I modified one of the little ones - that's how I got the corners Cuttlebug'ed. I basically cut one of the little folders in half. I figured if I messed up really badly, I could buy another set.

The three squares in the middle are from the same set.

I keep buying these little folders, and then I just look at them instead of using them. Thanks for the inspiration I have seen. I do have a question about using one of the folders more than once. Is there a trick? It seems like if you put it through more than once, the first one would get flattened out. Does that make sense? Thanks!

The issue I have using the small embossing folders is the outline of the folder that shows on the cardstock. It doesn't happen with all my cardstock, but happens too often. So, unless I am planning on cutting out the image and mounting it to another piece of cardstock, I don't use the small folders. Is there a solution to this problem?

No, it doesn't get flattened because there is a gap the thickness of the plastic folder. Got ahead and try a scrap of CS. You can see it better than I can describe it.

Default On a quarterfold

I put the smaller flowers on two corners of this Quarter-fold Card. After stamping the other designs, I sponged color over everything.

Wanted to add that I sanded the first embossed images I did, to make them stand out. It was laborious, and I didn't like how uneven it looked.

The next time, I used a Q-tip and a pad of white pigment ink and just ran the Q-tip over the raised outlines. I liked the look a whole lot better and it seemed easier to me.

I have a few of the mini folders and like some of you, haven't used them too much yet. I love the larger ones for backgrounds!
Here is one in my gallery:

The center on the red cardstock piece has the embossed circle outlining the flower. I will watch for more ideas, too!
