Default Care of stamped clothing?

I've done a search and found tons of info on HOW to stamp onesies, but what about the CARE of the item afterwards? I'm going to stamp some for a friend's baby shower and want to include care instructions.

I always wash and dry the onesie before stamping so shrinkage shouldn't be a problem. If you use craft ink you should be able to just wash and dry. one thing I try to remember is these are disposable. the little buggers grow out of them so fast there isn't really enough time for them to fade out.
I don't have an answer as to getting a prewash on the ink, whether that would hurt it. I have some I goofed on laying around I should try to experiment on them. If i can today iwill get back to you.

Thanks. I'll be using Palette Hybrid Ink. I am talking about the care of the item after it's done, given to the person, in use, etc. Not pre-stamping. I thought I read somewhere not to use a citrus detergent? But I could be wrong

If there are even any specific care instructions... I would think bleach would be a no-no...

If you have time, you might experiment yourself, lol. Baby clothing is one item that I've never worried about much, since I don't want to put an unnecessary burden on a new mom by requiring special laundry care. So, I've always used fabric paint meant for this type of thing.

Still, I would think if you've heat set the thing after the stamping, it should be fine to launder normally. I would say "machine wash warm, inside out, dry on low or delicate. Remove promptly." Turning it inside out will help protect the paint, keeping it from being scratched by other items in the laundry.
