Mindy, I taken a lot of mags over the years and I'm down to just one: Paper Crafts. I find that the cards they have are more to my style. They seem to have fresh ideas and projects.

I also like Paper Creations. I keeping saying I'm goin to subscribe. They have a lot of projects to make that aren't cards and new techniques. They a have terriffic template and some of the templates have become my favs that I've used over and over.

Carft 'N Things: Do Not Like!!! #1 reason, they bought Rubber Stamper and absorbed it into thier own mag. I don't do needle work, paper mache bird houses, or some of the other hobbies so to me I'm buying half a magazine. Also, their cards don't seem to match my style. I still miss Rubber Stamper.

Card Maker: I like it sometimes. But they don't seem to be consistent in what they offer. I like to thumb through before buying. They also have pretty good instructions.

Scrap & Stamp Arts: They have some really cute cards, with some of the latest stamps. It's one of the few magazines that actally has articles to read. I like the interviews. They also have an good section on questions from the readers; good ads; good prodcut reviews and new techniques. Wow, I'm thinking I need to renew my subscription LOL

Stampers Sampler/Sommerset, et al: I used to buy them because they had techniques that I wanted to learn. I like to make collage/artsy cards, but not all the time and that is their style. After awhile it was a waste if I wasn't going to use it.

How I gage if a mag is good is by how many stickes do I have? I put in stickies for cards to make, techniques, keeper stuff. No stickies = stinky issue. If there are too many stinko issues, I stop buying the subscription.

Kind of long, sorry HTH

I don't subscribe to any of the magazines at the moment... but I love Take Ten and buy it here and there. But then again, I love all the Stampington & Co magazines (Somerset Studio, Somerset Memories, etc.) so I'm a little biased.
I also like Paper Crafts and Cloth Paper Scissors (though they're not exclusively card making mags).

Oh yes, forgot about Paper Creations...I have a couple of these as well.
There is a publication that I have seen at Michaels called "Cards" or "Just Cards" or something like that and it comes out monthly I think. It's really more of a book, but great pictures and some info at the bottom of each page. It's not cheap though, and runs about $20 an issue. Each issue has a couple of themes and are organized by the theme. I only have one issue.
The same company also puts out a scrapbook page version of the same publication.

That is Cards- by northridge media. They also have Scrapbook Trends, and Simply handmade. All are similar in style- content varies though.
and it has *very* limited advertising, thus the higher price-

"Just cards" is a mag from scrap stamp and arts that comes out periodically-

I don't have a subscription yet, but I should, because I buy almost every "paper crafts" magazine that comes out.
