Default Card Upload...What am I doing wrong??

Everytime I try to upload a picture, it is giving me this error message.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted at (null):0 (tried to allocate 4608 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/splitcoaststampers.com/httpdocs/gallery/image-inc.php on line 81

I successfully uploaded a few cards before this started happening, but I didn't do anything different, so I'm confused! Any advice???

Thanks,
Sonya

Default Card upload

I had trouble when I tried the first time and it was because the card was in BMP format and not JPEG format. I had to change the cards format to the JPEG and then upload it. Try that. That is all I can think of.
Good luck, Andy

Okay - let's see what Daven has to say. I sent him an email to take a peek at this thread and your upload queue.

I think that maybe your file size exceeds our threshold here. Try resizing your scan, and reuploading it after you make sure it is a jpg file. Hopefully that will work.

Thanks Ladies! Good Ol' Daven is working on the problem. At first I paniced and thought "the website hates my work!" Silly me.

someone else had this problem a few days ago. it has to do with how much memory the server allocates to PHP, in case anyone cares :^)

we tweaked the setting last night. try it again today and let me know if it's any better...

Default loading files

I use to try and it never worked. Then someone told me pictures uploaded to the web needed to be in a different format. When I checked my pictures were TIF. I changed them to JPEG and also resized them to about 2 x 3 using an image editor program (usually comes with computer or scanner). I'm a newbie so we'll see if it works for me. I think only one of my pictures has gone through so far.
Hope this helps

Go to Home Page, on the far left of your screen, scroll down and there is an area called Quick Clicks, go down to the area for Uploading, just follow the instructions.
Good luck.

Thanks so much, I figured it out and it's so fun! Now I'm going to have to get really creative with my stamp sets.
