If you're not associated with a company, where do you purchase decent card stock?

I love the cardstock from Papertreyink, the cardstock is very sturdy and it comes in a lot of great colors.

I know a lot of people bad mouth Michaels and their products....but I really like their store brand of cardstock called Recollections. They have a pretty decent selection of colors and it's very reasonably priced.

I especially like the kraft cardstock from Recollections.

cutcardstock.com has great shimmer cardstock and if you can bulk buy with friends you can get a good price and free shipping. Sign up for their email so you can get discount coupons.

I like Papertrey Ink card stock, but would love to find another company that offers the same quality and different colors to supplement PTI's color choices.

I love the heavyweight card stock from Gina K (Pure Luxury) and Papertrey Ink. The PTI neutrals (white, vintage cream, rustic cream and rustic white) are fabulous to stamp on, and even better for making sturdy card bases. Thinner card stock has its uses, too, but the heavy card stock makes the best cards.

I use the Papertrey Ink white and cream for most of my card bases. They have a good assortment of other colors too. I also like Stampin' Up cardstock--thickness and color selection. Like Papertrey, they have a lot of ribbon, patterned paper and embellishments that coordinate with their cardstock.

Where do you live? In our Big City we have 2-3 paper companies where they function like a warehouse, cut paper for you, and sell by the pound. Cheaper cardstock, and it's really thick and great quality. Anchor Paper is one place.

Also, The Paper Cut out of Appleton, Wisconsin does the same thing. You can buy online with them as well. Excellent cardstock----very good quality. Thick.

I like all of those already mentioned. SU, Gina K, PTI, Amuse, and Neenah. For scrapbooking, 12x12, I love Bazzill and Core'dinations.

Other than cheap, flimsy stuff, I haven't met a cardstock that I didn't like. LOL~

I get a lot from Marco's Papers.

I get my Neenah cardstock from Xpedx. xpedx: stores division | Store Locations Not the easiest to navigate website, however, I just went to my localish store (with a coupon) and they helped me find what I want. They carry other brands but that definitely was the best price on that cardstock at the time.

I used to buy Bazzill, mostly bought it at Archiver's. Really liked it and I didn't have to order online if I didn't want to. Now I'm an SU demo and have switched to their cardstock, but Bazzill is still one I use.

I go to createforless.com and order Bazzill Smoothie Cardstock. Yes, you have to buy $100 worth of stuff to get free shipping. But you can either go in with someone or just stock up - like I do. It is soooo much cheaper than buying it anywhere else. It usually works out to about .25 per sheet and there are 25 sheets in each pack

Some of the Paper Accents cardstock is good too - just make sure to look at the weight before purchasing.

I just like having all the color choices.

I like Stampin' Up's cardstocks, very sturdy and has great colors. I used Micheal's Recollection White Cardstock only for stamping images and for layering.

I use SU and PTI the most with Gina K's heavy white for white bases. I'd use Bazzill's 81/2 by 11 smooth, but I don't have a local source for it. I also use white Recollections for layering and testing 3D items.

Gina K (although some of hers has a texture and I don't like textured cardstock, also her heavy white is AWESOME!!!)

And I'm newly liking A Muse. It is totally different from the others I like (which have similar great feel and stuff) It is super smooth and white on the back. I like it for simple folded cards. I can't use it for a base if there is a lot of heavy stuff, but I don't usually have much heavy. I really like the black for this, I feel it looks really professional to have the white inside a black card.

The only card stock I really am really particular about is white. I use it for most of my bases and find that Georgia Pacific is the best for me. It will give a nice impression if I make a CAS using a cuttlebug or sizzix folder and is strong enough to hold a lot of embellishments if I try a 2 pounder!

I am in WI, but a little ways from Appleton, however I am close to Milwaukee. Any paper company that you know of that I can check it out? I am relatively new to WI and also to paper crafts.

I love the Paper Cut cardstock, but in my opinion it's pretty expensive. I buy it once a year at a stamp show that I go to and otherwise I stick with the single sheets that I buy at Archivers (store brand) and Joanns (Bazzil) when I have coupons. I want to try PTI. I have also used Gina K kraft and that is really thick and great for card bases.

I have to say Stampin Up is my absolute favorite cardstock. Although I am OCD with having my cardstock, accessories and ink colors match perfectly.

I have Papertrey Ink, all the SU! colours (only because I used to demo) and I have neutrals from Gina K.

I think Papertrey Ink and SU's cardstock are pretty close in quality, PTI might have a slight upper edge. But for me the white and ivory are the biggest factors. SU's white and ivory are too flimsy to use properly as a card base but great for layering. So I have those shades from all three companies.

Wausau is relatively on your doorstep (ok, not quite, but closer than it is to me!). Just saying. Wausau Paper

I don't know how Wausau operates, however I have friends that work for an internationally known greeting card factory and every so often they have a factory sale.

The Wausau products I have are focused on texture and finish (pearlized) so would need a heavier base.
