Question Card Size

What is the average size of the cards made? When I see some samples, I know they must be the half fold. I like working with the 41/2 x 5/1/4, but I know I won't be able to copy some of the samples that are used with my sets, since I don't think my size will handle all that I see on the cards.

Could you link to an example of this larger card you're seeing?

The majority of cards on Splitcoast are 4.25 x 5.5--but there are some specialty sized cards out there.

I am only assuming that they are larger, since there seems to be so much on the card.

Some card makers really pack it in! :-) If there's a specific card you thought was larger, post the link here and we'll take a look.

I sometimes use cards that are 5" x 6 1/2". I sometimes forget to mention that in my "recipe", though. Maybe that's the size you're seeing.

I have also made cards that fit into a standard size envelope and into a buisness size envelope. You might check out the Sketch Challenge, Here to see some different size cards or layouts that are used. I love doing the sketch challenge and you can type in which SC is used if you want to see all different cards used with it.

Hope this helps some!

Great suggestions. Still learning. How do I send a link about the cards I am talking about?

1. Find a card.
2. At the top of your screen, right click in the address box. It will highlight the address AND drop down a menu.
3. Click on COPY.
4. Return to this page to write your reply. When you want the link to show up in your reply, right click where you are and click on PASTE. The link will be pasted in.

Simple!

This card was made for a Sketch Challenge.... The 'challenge' was to make a square card. The poster didn't mention how big her card was, but the challenge 'suggests' a 5"x5" square. Here is the link to that challenge. Forums at Splitcoaststampers
If you haven't 'played along' with any of the daily challenges... try some... they are FUN.... and, they sure do stretch your stamping abilities!! You can find them listed to the right of the SCS Home page.
Enjoy!
