In one thread I was reading, someone mentioned they made Post-it Holder Ramps out of acrylic frames and I am having a hard time figuring out what exactly they might look like?
Has anyone made them and if so, do you have a link to an upload so I can get my visual straight?!?!
If you go to the "Anything But A Card" gallery, under Notepads and Stationary, type in "acrylic frame" in the search box and you will find several samples. Hope this helps!
tsboughton I think I know what you are talking about it's hard to tell when they are covered up.you really can't see what's underneath themto get a better picture of what you really want to see.I can only explain it to you and tell you that I bought mine at Staples in the stationary section .it is clear plastic and it is made like a ramp it has a long end that goes upthen kind of folds over in the back and goes down the part in the back is shorter and is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in widght.the front part is about 6 inches long.it is all 1 piece.I only wish I had a picture to show you.but if you have a staples or maybe even office max near you ask themthey can even lookin a catalog for you.sorry I couldn't have been more help to you.

It's someone who buys stamps they didn't normally like at first,only to see it in Split Coast Stampers gallery in a different perspective.
Isn't it just an acrylic picture frame that is laid "on it's back"???????????
I did just buy some acrylic frames at Wally World to make a ramp. I do have to say that after mine was made and I went to use it, the plastic sagged in the middle and it made it very hard to write on! I just figured mine were cheappies and kinda flimsy!!! Maybe I'm using the wrong thing?????????? Hmmmmmm!!!
Any thoughts?

I looked at this one for awhile and finally figured it out. I think.
The frame is a "folded" piece of acrylic -- the kind where you slip the photo between two layers. Ordinarily -with a photo - you would stand the frame up on its little base. To make the post-it ramp, you turn the frame around with the top edge down. The little base is now at the top and just lifts the ramps off the table a bit.
I'll try to attach a little sketch...
Okay... but how do you attach the post-it notes? Do you just take off the last page and the last post-it sticks to the acrylic?? And then also, am I right in thinking that the stamping/decorating is done on paper and then slid into the place where a picture would normally go?? And then ribbon or whatever added on the acrylic frame itself? This is really neat and I'd love to make some, but I want to know for sure first...

Yes - you take the back off the post-it and stick it right on the frame

Aha! I think I get it! Thanks for the sketch, and for the post afterwards with the specific instructions!
Now I get it! I did a search in the gallery and did find some examples but unfortunately they are kind of hard to see and figure out just from the pictures. But everyones' explanations and diagrams finally made it click for me. I may have to attempt these!!
To avoid the "sagging" when you write on them, it's better to use a smaller size frame (3x5 or even 4x6 but not 5x7). I also put a touch of glue between the acrylic layers right at the outside edges in one spot toward the "opening" then make sure the ribbon covers that up. It's also nice to hold the ribbon in place! :-)
I've also used double stick tape to keep the post-it pad in place. Works better but still not permanent and easily changed.

Oh, and I've use these as teacher gifts (with matching RSVP pen) and they LOVED them! Golf for a young man teacher who told me he plans to golf on his wedding day, and flowers for a woman teacher.

I won't get the frames from wal mart anymore. They are very thin and all of them sag. If you pay a little more and get a frame from say Wolf Camera, they use thicker acrylic and even the larger ones don't sag!
