card i saw in a magazine
 

okay.. for you guys with a good memory. I saw a card in the rubber stamper magazine a few years back. It was like a flying snowman or angel and it had one of those little tiny perfume bottles attached to it with glitter.. Does anyone know of a card i can make like that or remember anything about it.. I have one of the older magazines but it is not in there.. thought i kept all the holiday card issues.. Oh well.. thanks so much

Okay, just went back through all my Nov/Dec issues (back to 1999) and didn't see what you were talking about. Do you remember if it was a submitted card or something in an ad? I will take a closer look tomorrow and see if I can find it. Are you sure it was Rubber Stamper? Let me know as I also have Scrap and Stamp Arts from way back and I can look there, as well.

OK, I looked again and didn't find it in Rubber Stamper. I'll try to check my other mags in the next couple of days. I vaguely remember what you're talking about, just can't remember where I saw it, but I'll keep looking.

I can picture (no pun intended) the card. The only mag I get is Rubber Stamper so I know it was in there. Snowman, little glitter bottle, and I THINK the caption was "snowmen fall from Heaven unassembled." Inky Antics stamps. Not a reader send-in because it provided detailed instructions. I will check my back issues--I have them back til 2000,

thanks so much... I cannot believe your memory... I could barely remember if it was an angel or snowman. If it helps I have only been stamping since 2003... so it would have been any x-mas issue or so around then. thanks again, Mojo

I get is rubber stamper... so unless I saw it at one of my swaps that i used to do.. but don't think so. I really appreciate all the help from you guys.. Okay, I'll double check again from 2003. I was going back to my first ones (from '97). Like I said, I do remember it, just couldn't remember which of the zillion mags I get it was in. Keep the faith, we'll help ya out!!!! Paula, if you find it first, post it would you please???? TIA

I will check tonight. I'm a librarian, so I have a fairly photogenic memory! I also rmember wanting to make the card cuz it was so cool.

I think I found it! It was in the January/February 2004 Rubber Stamper on page 49. Called "Extra Frosting." A little vial of glitter and the stamp is from Inky Antics and is called "Frosting the Snowman." A little boy is in the air and is pouring snow/glitter on a snowman. If you need a copy, I'll be happy to scan it for you. Let me know via PM.

i believe posting a scanned copy of a magazine would violate copyright laws..

Someone will just have to make the card and post it- so the rest of us can see it :)

"Snowmen Fall From Heaven Unassembled" is one of my favorite sentiments. It's on a stamp in the TAC catalog and I want it so bad- but I don't do Christmas cards, and don't scrapbook. Why do I need snowmen? Except that I love them- and penguins.

I hope this does not violate anything,, but it was advertised in a magazine and no one is getting any dinero for it.. The stamp company will probably get some $$ if it got posted.. it is so cute.
