for holiday cards. I would like to have something elegant looking. I've tried Copper Metallic - but it needs something else. I've also looked at the color coach suggestions but nothing seemed to click.
Are you wanting to use the copper? If so, I'd suggest a green, certainly celery or handsome hunter. Or if you'd rather not have that much color maybe Vanilla.
night of navy looks gorgeous with brocade blue and whisper white - those are what i am using for my holiday cards this year. Also silver embossing powder on the night of navy is to die for
In addition to the combos named above (I love it with silver) Night of Navy goes well with a rich, deep blue-red (as opposed to an orange-red). It also works with Eggplant (or the equivalent)--but it needs a third color with it to make it "pop" (like Mauve Mist). Gold EP on Night of Navy works well. I also like a pale yellow with Night of Navy, but probably not for Christmas cards.
I just finished up some cards for a swap and I used Bliss Blue, Night of Navy and Whisper White paper with Night of Navy, Bliss Blue and Silver ink...they look great
here is a card I recently made with night of navy and brushed silver. the trees were done with silver craft and iridescent embossing powder - very sparkly! I was really happy with the way it turned out.
Last year I made my christmas cards with night of navy, shimmery silver and vellum cardstock and I embossed snowflakes in silver on the navy. But I also really love navy with Brocade Blue and Whisper white. Good luck!
