The only advice I have, is to take images that you have stamped and take one kind of coloring medium - either watercolor pencils, crayons, markers, or whatever --I usually don't take stamps and ink.

there is sooo much going on during a cruise that I do not find time to do any crafting...Alaska's scenery is so beautiful & there is so much to do & see both off & on the ship that I'd say leave the stamping at home...do take the White Pass Railroad & Yukon Territory trip if you go to Skagway---it's most impressive

I agree, there is way too much to do and see there and I didn't bring any materials with except to take loads of pictures. I am so glad that we did.
I just finished my Alaska scrapped album (two actually!). If in Skagway, there is a nice size souvenir shop by where the cruise ships are for the day. In that shop, I got the Alaska Scrap Albums with the map on it. Beautiful! They also had some great Skagway and Ketchikan embellishment kits. They have a nice little scrap section in there. The Railroad trip is awesome, we stood between cars the whole time, a tip from someone we know. You get much better pictures that way. I picked up many embellishments from everything you get at each stop. Have a wonderful time!

We cruise about 2 times a year. There is usually plenty of crafting time, especially on sea days.

If you are going on Princess, they have a scrapbooking at sea program. Buy the album early as they sell out fast and I have been disappointed in the past.

I basically take one shoulder tote worth of things. But, remember to pack scissors and sharp tools and such in the check through or security will take them. I do have clear stamps, so it's easier to take them than wood stamps, but usually I take a CTMH Level I kit, coordinating stamps, and some embellishments along with my paper trimmer. I do like the idea of just taking some prestamped images and coloring them, however. That will save a lot of packing room for sure :-).
