I think the cards are really cute made with the Bellas but the actual images are not my style. Maybe someday there will be a Bella that catches my eye but for now I will just enjoy the pretty cards made with them.

Well personally, I like them. And I just placed an order moments ago. With that said, I wish that there wasn't sooo many that were bridal/prego. I love the ones I ordered. I'm a Martinin girl and had to have the Cosmobella and then a couple of more fell into the shopping basket.

Wow this has been an interesting reading session....All I want to say is if everyone loved Bella, the way many of us do, I'd have to wait longer to get mine in the mail, so 'it's a good thing for me'.

Some of you guys are TOO funny! I love the giant wedgie!
The Bellas are cute to me, but not so cute I wanna buy one. For one, they are TOO darn skinny! Could be I'm just jealous...They are, after all, just drawings!

I was watching something on TV last night (MSNBC maybe?) about the Brat dolls and the Barbie dolls.... and this one guy said that some people in the company didn't want to make any changes to Barbie because they didn't want to hurt her feelings. "This guy responds, Barbie is plastic, she is a doll, she doesn't have feelings!" It reminded me of this thread in some weird kind of way. but I do think my Bellas have feelings and shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they talk to me.!

I don't know much about Barbie, the poor thin beauty, but I do know that my Bellas certainly do have feelings so I'm not going to even let on about some of the things that have been said about them, but I'm just going to continue making them and me happy, by stamping my heart away, giving them to gals and watching them 'smile'..

OK, I've been thinking about this. Maybe if they made one called Beerabella and she was holding a microbrew, I might buy it. Or maybe they could make a kitty called Catabella.

This is fabulous midnight reading material albeit too *deep* to read completely Sometimes I wonder how I stumble upon some of these threads, lol

Hey Mynee - Any time you want to express an opinion, feel free to PM me. I can take it and I'll laugh with you!

I wish there was a way to change the font size to very small so I could (GASP) agree that I don't get Bellas but can I redeem it by saying I DO LIKE seeing the layouts people come up with for them!

It's matches my feeling about books. I love to read, however, no book is 100% applicable to every person. I feel that if I get 40% out of a book, it was worth the time to read it. Fortunately on SCS, I enjoy a MUCH HIGHER percentage of the cards posted

Well, I have a lot of opinions so I just might have to PM you. Brace yourself.

I agree. I love the layouts of a lot of the cards featuring the Bellas. I just hope that the Bella craze dies out quickly so that we can move on to something new.

I totally got TigerLily's humor here!!!

Of course...some of us LIKE her card this this way, too!

For every response of "liking" something there is someone else to say they "don't." Balance is a great way of life!

I can honestly say I don't like (or get!) the Bella's. I can also say the same of many Stampin Up sets, Amuse, Close to My Heart, TAC, etc...

Default besides being retro....

I get why some stampers don't like them because Bellas have a retro look (ie no arms) and some people don't care for this. But I've also seen many gals ask for 'chubby' bellas. Maybe we (like me) are jealous of the skinny, long thick haired bellas with the sports car, gorgeous clothes, etc. even though I know they are JUST STAMPS!!! (yes, I have determined they are not real people )

I own tons of Bellas. The only ones I have not purchased has been the 'retail therapy' ones. And Bellas are not the only ones that go with this theme. I'm trying to be more non-materialistic in today's material-obsessed world (it is sooo hard, isn't it?) and many of the Bellas sometimes can give the impression, to shop is to be happy. I have to take this into perspective, as I said before THEY ARE JUST STAMPS!! LOL!!!!!! So I just don't buy these particular ones.

Well, if nothing else, Bellas will probably continue to be controversial. Who would have thunk it???

Bellas have arms, guess you have to be a doodler to see that. I think they are very cute. I doodle alot and I am sure that some would not like my doodled dog, but oh well, each to her own.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Personally I have very limited stamping interests (I'm an SU only girl!) and there are days when I look at the general forum and can't participat in any of the conversatios because they're all about people's love for products other than SU.

I don't begrudge others their likes and dislikes, but sometimes it is frustrating to feel like you're not part of a community because you're just not interested in the products everyone is talking about. So I can undertand someoone starting a thread like this just to feel like they're not all alone in this forum, and I think they should have the right to do so without everyone else criticizing them for having an against the grain" opinion.

The alternative to starting a thread like this, where the topic is clear from the get-go, is to post negative comments in a positive thread, which (as we already read above) gets people even more upset.

It is the stick arms and the maniacal smiles that get me. The rest of them are fine. They have nice legs and nice clothes etc.

Mini hijack and I aplogize but -- This is why I started a thread the other day inviting the SU demos to come on down.

There wasn't a lot of responses. The general stamping forum is where customers are!! Demos are missing a great opportunity to connect with us. I don't mean that they should post here just to get particular customers for themselves. But almost no one is talking about SU products here and the demos are the ones with the excitement and info and the ideas. Instead of sharing everything amongst yourselves -- I think for fear of looking like you are stealing customers?? --- come down here and just be part of this forum as well.

With all the threads on bellas, papertrey ink, cuttlebug, basic grey, etc. I'm forgetting about SU!!! I'm shallow -- I only think about what is in front of me at the time!!

Have you seen the Art Impression stamp "Rhonda" - she is holding a mug of beer. That one is so cute and fits me perfectly, right down to body image.
Can we petition for a Beerabella? Is there a BikerBella? Or a BellaScrapper?
How about a chubby GrandmaBella - with a plate of brownies? I know, how about a BellaNotTalkAbout.... my big butt? That one could be named after me.
I bet we could give the Bella creator lots of ideas.
But I do like some of the images. So, I have started saving up my pennies.

Sorry to hear you feel this way, though I'm not sure about what exactly. Bella-not-lovers trolling in the bellaloving threads? Bella-lovers "trolling" in the bella-not-loving threads? Bellas in general? Stamps and stamping?

This is such a mean spirited thread. Everyone knows that Em, the creator of the Bellas is on this board frequently. It seems like a very personal attack on one person, not on a product. As a new member to SCS is very disappointing to see the rudeness of some members.

OK, first of all, I didn't even know who the creator of the Bellas was when I started this thread. I still don't know who "Em" is. I have a right to say that I don't like them. I'll say it again...they're scary.

I guess I don't understand why you felt the need to post a comment. If you like the scary Bellas, good for you. Maybe you would be happier sticking to a "love the Bellas" thread.

Have a great day!
