I'd like to make some invitations for my daughter's graduation party using a vellum insert. Does anyone know of any reliable source of free font downloads? I usually use Lucinda Calligraphy - but am getting tired of it. I see there are many websites out there, but some are a bait-and-switch type of site... an ordinary font is free, the fancy ones cost money! Also has anyone purchased a CD with fonts? Which ones/companies do you like best? Thanks for helping!
They have some of the best fonts for scrapbooking and card making.
I have thousands of fonts, a lot that I have purchased over the years. If you are looking for a certain one, let me know I might have it...and I think I can e-mail it.
I have purchased several of the CK font cds, they are okay. Most times you can find a free spin off font online if you look hard enough ;)

I use www.1001freefonts.com. There is no charge. You can purchase all 3000 fonts at once if you like but i just download them about five or six at a time. The sheer volume is overwhelming but they are alphabetized so when I have time I just choose a letter and start browsing. I'm not even past G yet and I have dozens of fonts downloaded.
We probably have similar taste since I used Lucida all the time - you have to pick and choose on this site; some fonts don't appeal to me at all but my favorite ones have come from this site.
How do i get the fonts to come up in regular writing.......
Hi ladies!
When I download new fonts I saved them to a stamping file I have..how do I choose them when I am writing...they don't come up in the normal font section that is already in the computer? Thanks so much!

The easiest way for me to make the fonts usable is to open the folder where I have them saved, and also open my "fonts" folder (found in my "Control Panel") ..... then drag and drop the ones I want to use. Once this is done, they atomatically appear and are usable.
Hope this helps.

I was just on the phone last week with someone having a problem getting the fonts to show after downloading, come to find out she didn't have a ZIP program. Go to www.winzip.com, I think you can download a free trial that will work for you.
