Oh goodness, that's like shipping from Ajax to Mississauga or something, isn't it? Too funny. Looking forward to the envie hitting western Canada ("The better half" as we call it, well, as I call it, starting this afternoon ).

Good luck on your garage sale! And Conni and Kathy should be getting some good harvesting weather, as it looks clear through to Sunday.

I will be sure to send some Ontario sunshine out west....along with the goodies....funny day here....beautiful sunshine, and all of a sudden...the thunder rolled...sun kept shining and the storm passed over us...not like yesterday with pouring rain and hail.....welcome to autumn in Southwestern Ontario....

It's a long way to Tipparary, but with the internet we are as close as our fingers can type...kinda kewl! (Did I spell that right??)

Thanks for the update Rebecca! I thought it came to B.C. too. I can hardly wait.
It is still hot and sunny here--great, but getting very dry in the bush!
Mel it's interesting what people think is western, prairies, or eastern Canada--I always thought of west of the Rockies as western, anything from Alberta to Manitoba as prairies, and the rest eastern or east coast I love to learn what other people think of different things (I think I need to go back to school and learn more english) No wonder my dh doesn't understand me

Obviously I had better get stamping, hope everyone has a great weekend!

Nancy, growing up in BC that is exactly how I thought about it growing up too. I guess since I moved to Alberta and Saskatchewan I've seen some overarcing themes linking the three provinces. The socioeconomic distance between the Lower Mainland and the rest of BC seems greater than the differences between the area where I grew up and where I"m living now, and the federal gov'ts obsession with Ontario is felt as strongly here as back home, too. So my concept of western Canada has broadened somewhat.

OH, hey girls, boy do I miss SCS. Just in from combining - its 2 am. Actually seems early as we have been going alot later since the weather has been so nice. Just waiting for some laundry - hubby is reading the mail and I thought I just had to read whats been going on. It looks like the envie is getting further away since we added a few names but hey it will be that much better when it arrives in good old Sask. In the mail tonight was my order of ribbon from 3 Scrappy Boys. Wow, is it nice stuff. 10 yards, yes yards, 36", not metres. Its been a long time since we said yards, right. But your probably saying to yourselves - I still think in yards!!!!! he he he Well, good night - miss you all. Get that envie going girls....so I can play with my new ribbon/embellishments when I get off that darn combine. haha

Kathy!!! I thought of you tonight as my friend and I were commenting on the gretbigole yellow harvest moon tonight. I hope the frost warning won't affect you! When I saw you had posted so late I was worried you'd had another cup of coffee.

Good Tuesday Morning everyone!
Is anyone here working on things for Christmas gifts/craft sales? I am making a card organizer book right now and I still have 3 more pocket albums to make for gifts. I have 10 birthdays to make/buy gifts for before Christmas.

Melanie you are a blast. You always make me laugh. Believe me I'm high on something. Sad but true I did have some coffee some nights and some pepsi products just for those bursts of energy. Those all day, all nights were getting the best of me. We have slowed down abit now 1-2am. The mornings are damper so we don't have to start so early. We can see the end just 2 quarters of flax and 1 of oats and the part canola we will finish hopefully today. The flax/oats wouldn't be ready for awhile so we can haul the cattle home, haul bales and some other fall work.
Hey by the way on a totally different subject I have decided to become a CTMH demo so if you need anything. I'll get a book to you when I receive them.
Hey, Nancy your a busy girl thinking of Christmas already, good on you. I heard a commerical the other day on Christmas and I thought - give me a break - I'm not ready for that.....hahaha

I've been making Christmas cards off and on since July. I think the 30+ weather was making me long for something closer to -30, so I started making Xmas stuff.

And I am literally bouncing up and down in my chair at the thought of seeing a CTMH catty!! Aren't unmounteds great?! Glad to hear your harvest is going well and is almost done. Thanks btw for tipping me off about Lana's fall convention. It is hugely tempting! The only thing that's holding me back is that I have been needing new glasses, and the convention signup is about the price of a pair of specs. But the goodie bags sound awesome, the food sounds awesome, and the company was awesome at the spring convention! I will have to ask Sheldon about this, tho I am 99% certain he would tell me that if I had spending money from October to do this, to go for it.

Good morning everyone. Hey Mel, did you get a look at that catty yet? There are some pretty neat, new things. I love their 2-step stamping.

Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Hello Nancy! Haven't had a chance to see the catty yet, but I am looking forward to it. It's finally gotten brisk enough in Regina that I dug out my fall coat the other day; I'd forgotten that I'd bought a zip-apart coat last year and was wondering how in heck I survived last fall with just a denim jacket and a sweater. The heat in my place is set to 15, the lowest it can get, and the heaters actually clicked on briefly this morning. Such a nice contrast to the summer!

It is starting to look like I won't be able to participate in this envelope on even the first trip around; I really don't see the envie circuiting through seven people in three or four weeks. Lynne or Carmen, would you be able to strike my name and address off the list?

Oh Mel, don't scratch your name until the last moment. I have my stuff all prepared in case I find something I want. I'll have it in and out the next day.

I'll use all my wishes for that envy to grow wings

Thank you Nancy. I will take your advice and hold off on scratching my name off, though the envie took two and a half months go to through six folks, I will be optimistic and assume it will take less time for the next six . Hopefully all the folks before me on the list are still kicking around SCS to receive short-notice PMs.

Hey girls,
Gee who does have the envie? I think it left Rebecca's so it must be heading to Carmens, right?
Have to tell you guys about Scrap fest in Edmonton!!!
Conni and I had such a good time. We just decided to go Friday morning so we didn't get in on any of the classes but we did mingle through the displays that all the companies had. Western Educational Activities owner Cathie Allan was there showing us many techniques. OMG is she unreal. She was 1/2 ways down the first isle and at 12:00 we hadn't done the first isle yet. 3 hours !!! You could watch her all day long. Amazing. Then we went and shopped til we dropped. We visited almost all the scrapbooking/stamping stores in Edmonton (exception St. Albert) and then went to Leduc and visited the 3 out there..What fun. So we came home broke but do we have goodies to play with now. Thank goodness for big SUV's - they have the room. Conni kept saying she was going to have to take the bus home or we were going to have to rent a U- Haul. We had so much fun, everyone should have a weekend like that.
Keep us informed about that envelope!!
Kathy

Nancy I think close to a dozen stores just in Edmonton but we hit 2 in Sherwood Park and 3 in Leduc, we didn't get up to St. Albert. Mind you some of the smaller stores were closed and were at the Scrap Fest. We were moving - Conni was my co- pilot reading the map. I had all the addresses before I left with most of them marked on the map so they were easy to find. Must be organized when taking a flying trip like that. I did the same in Calgary this spring but I didn't have my co-pilot with me so I didn't get to see as many as I would have liked to. Oh, well save some for another trip...

Hi everyone

Just wanted to let you all know that I received the goodie envelope here in Burlington today. Wow!! There are such neat goodies in it. I will add some items and get it back in the mail by Saturday, Sept 30th. I know everyone is anxiously waiting... I'm off to make some cards. That Scrap Fest in Edmonton sounds like a lot of fun! Is there anything like that in Southern Ontario?

Default Hi All

Hi all, just had to read afew threads this morning before going back to the dreaded combine... Lynne, scrapfest is going to be in Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal next year. Go to www.scrapfest.ca and you can see all the info.
Hey, Melanie when do you leave to see DH? Don't leave before we can have another cup of coffee!!! I need to say goodbye or are you coming back??
Welcome Mewsin, boy you and Conni have alot in common. I live a few miles away from Conni. She lives in the town of Raymore and I live 10 miles south on the farm. She is married to my nephew so I see him everyday. You two will have to get together as she frequents Battleford regular. Thats funny you should have been on this thread earlier we could have picked you up on the way to Scrapfest...
Hey, Nancy go to see you keep us all in line with this envelope - I just know Nancy will have something good to say in the mornings. Keep it up. Take care all, back to the trenches...Kathy

Thanks for the welcome Kathy. I bet scrapfest would have been a blast. I might have to go to Winnepeg next year and drag my friend along. Poor girl had to move there.

Good Thursday Afternoon everyone! I can't believe Thanksgiving weekend is almost here. We are having a dinner with all our kidlets on Saturday. Cooking Ham and small Turkey, pumpkin and raison pie, kids are bringing everything else.
Thanks Kathy!
There is a full moon tomorrow night, be sure to have a look! Last night it was very pretty too.
Welcome you new people Stampkin, which part of B.C. are you in?
Hey Carmen, did ya get the goodies yet?

Lots of smiles today

Good Friday Morning everyone. It's raining here in Quesnel, a great day for going out to breakfast with a friend and then I'm coming home to work on crafts--my first sale is the first weekend in November!
