Red face Can someone PLEASE help me put copyright logo on my pics?

I know this isn't the place to post this, probably should be in technical discussion. I have a zillion cards I scanned in over time, without putting a little pc. of paper under it saying Artwork copyright SU! etc. I can't rescan 'cuz cards are long since given away. Isn't there a way to manipulate the photo to type those little words on it?????? I see it done on here, but can't can't can't figure it out. I am computer challenged, but can follow good instructions. Thank you in advance!

Here is a little program you can download that is very easy to use and will put the copyright info on your pictures...

You can also use your photo software and put a text box on photos. Use white "ink" on a dark image and black on light images. You should be able to do this with almost any photo software out there.

If you post your Stampin Up artwork in the internet, it has to have a copyright on every picture.

If you have "Paint" you can add the copyright info that way too.

I use Picture It 9 to scan and to add my copyright info, and paint to resize my photos.

I end up doing it in word and copying it over onto the photo. BUT - isn't there a special keystroke to make the copyright symbol? Does anyone know it?

If you hold down the Alt key and then type 0169 on the number pad of your keyboard (not the numbers above the letters), that should create the copyright symbol ().

I think it's: "Images c. Stampin' Up! 1990-2005" If you want you can add "by" or "artist" Jane Doe This is what I do anyway...I have a hard time with the copyright symbol too...

If you use stamps other that SU!, do you have to include every name?

What is the purpose of this?

I use the # pad on the right. Press and hold the alt button as you enter the #'s 0686 for the sign. Also 09897 for the sign. 14747=

If your version of Word is fairly recent, typing "(c)" [no quotes] will convert automagically to the symbol. If that doesn't work, try Insert / Symbol and then scroll through the characters to find the copyright sign. Click on it and then click the Insert button at the bottom of the dialog box. One more option: you can enter ALT+ 0169.

One of these should work!

Thanks for the tips - especially the (c). It works! Been meaning to do this on my photos for a long time. Will ask DH to help me with the photo program.

I don't really know about other companies...all of them have their own rules about how you can use their images. IN SU's case, all of the images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up and their rule is that people can't post pictures of their images on the internet without proper copyright information.

I've often wondered about that too, though, about using multiple companies' images...would you have to list each stamp/company name? LOL, it gets your head spinning!

For those of you who are working from a laptop and have no number pad and haven't figured it out - hold the <Fn> and the <Alt> keys at the same time and use the little numbers in the 'fake' number pad keys - mine are in light gray on the front angle of the keys - 1 2 3 are on J K L, 4 5 6 on U I O and 7 8 9 on 7 8 9 and I think that is pretty standard for laptops without number pads.
