Can anyone suggest ideas for 10 yr old boy Stampin Birthday
Hi,
I recently did a workshop where I had a 10 yr old Boy B-day party booked. I am having a hard time coming up with stamping ideas...I would so greatly appreciate any feedback you could offer. Thanks in advance!

You could try out the tatoo kits. Or you could do like someone else posted - have them stamp in the crayon-style stamps and color in like a coloring book.
Good luck!

I asked my ten yr old daughter about the tattoo kids and she thought they were too childish for a 10 yr old???

You could make the dry erase board or a cork board. Make magnets with the clear pebbles or make them into tacks for the cork board.
Cover a composition book and decorate to use as a journal--for their goody bag you could have a journal jar with journal starters in it.
They could decorate the RSVP pen to go with the journal.
Have them make water bottle charms with Shrink plastic.
I'll think some more.

They could make game boards, small like traveling game boards. Several of the stamp magazines have had patterns for these. (Games like Tic-Tac-Toe, Bingo, etc...)
They could also stamp on woodcrafts! We have seen small bug boxes. Wood ends, bottom and screen on sides. They are a Hobby Lobby, Walmart, etc... I have seen them in packs of 3 for around a $1.50. Use bug stamps, etc...
They could also stamp on the cork squares and then mount on a piece of matboard to make locker bulletin boards.

Just to add to Tonya's (scraphorse) great ideas. You could incorporate the magnetic sheets into some of those ideas.

Scraphorse I really like your ideas-the games would make cute stocking stuffers as well!

OK. I'm thinking about what my 10 year old boy students would want here. Paper airplanes.
Or give them a mystery bag of scraps and embellishments, etc. and put them in partners and have them create something cool, like give them rules like "it has to have wheels, be 14" long x 7" high, and must fly 6 feet".
Have goody bags in bright blue and emboss the black spider web just like Spiderman.
Stamp the paper magazine holders and give them comic books.
I'll keep thinking in between plans....

Thanks so much for those ideas...I was beginning to think I was going to have to decline because all my ideas seemed to be too girly!
I love the gameboard idea and think I can definitely use that! A locker corkboard is a great idea also!
Oh and I love the comic book holder idea! WOW
Thanks a million!

I have a 9 1/2 yr old son and this is what he likes to do with stamps:
He took a shoe box and he stamped copy paper in stamps that interested him and then glued the paper to the shoe box. Put his name on the top and wrote "Jake's YuGiOh Cards". He carries that thing around with him everywhere he takes his cards. He stamped it mostly with Fish Frolics and Fishy Friends (he loves fish and sea creatures).
He also likes to stamp the trapezoid boxes and then put 'special' things in them. He made a tag with his name on it and put it on the lid with an eyelet.
You could purchase white folders at Office Max and they could decorate them for school.
He loves the matboard journals and wants me to make one with him...he wants to draw in it . That may be a little too complicated for a birthday party.
Hope that helps!
Michele

My 14 year old son likes to use the Build A Bot set on all kinds of things. He's made cards, journal covers etc. You could try that.

I have older boys over to stamp and liked making bags, cards, candy toppers, bookmarks, too. The stamp sets I have used are Fish Frolics, Roughing It, and Have a Ball, all these were real popular with the boys. They liked making the gel cards with the fish set, the new set would do fine, too.
