Default Camping set:What is your opinion?

I want to get a camping/fishing stamp set to scrap my camping pictures and to make a camping cookbook. I initially thought I really liked Happy Camper but now I'm undecided on it. I don't have any of the markers to match my ink pads and I think most of the stamps in that set you would need to use markers. I kinda like a couple of the fishing/outdoors sets in the CTMH catty but I just can't decide. And then the CTMH stamp of the month is fishing related. So for you camper/outdoorsy scrappers which set do you like best? TIA.

Hi April! The Angel Company has several differen camping and/or fishing sets. PM me if you'd like to see scans of them.

Also, there's a cute camping set by MissyB Designs too:

I just looked up the CTMH set, as I hadn't seen it. It is really cute. As we don't fish when we camp (its actually my hubby that's not keen on it!), it would be limiting for us, but I would totally get it if I could use it. I really love the Happy Camper set ... from the cartooney bear to the retro trailer. Its much more us. I hadn't actually thought about the markers bit and I don't have them either. I really hadn't got that far in my thinking yet. I think other methods could look just as cute, but it depends on what look you are going for.

I know ... I'm no help at all!

Oh, I totally love the Happy Camper set. I'm not into fishing and neither is anyone I know so the CTMH set isn't even in the running.

OK - I have to admit I am completely torn on this one - I love CTMH (obviously) and I love the outdoor ones that have come out recently! But, I saw the one in the stampin' up catty Happy Camper, for me is a must have! And the wheel too!

I Love the Happy Camper. I don't think you'd necessarily have to use markers with that set. Stamping it in solid colors would look cute enough. I love that trailer!!

I love Happy Camper-was very excited to see this set in the catty!! I agree with Witty5-I think it will be fine stamped in solid colors!! This set was first on my wish list from the new catty. Let us know what you decide!

I don't have markers either and this is what I do if I want it coloured in: I take my ink pads and press on the top of them to release ink onto the lid. then, I take my paintbrush and water colour in the images, or use pencil crayons. Just a few suggestions for you. Hope that helps

I just finished cutting and mounting my happy camper set! I have Pines, and my friends have the retired camping sets, and this one is sooooo much better. I like it cause there isnt any people in it. SU seems to do the travel kid sets with a boy and a girl together. Well, if you only have 1, it doesn't work.

I like the new Happy Camper set (love that trailer) but I really like the retired set "Roughing It" a lot better.

Here is another option for you. I just had this one I traded off

This is a retired CTMH wood mounted camping set that I thought was pretty great!

Okay decision made! I went to see if there happen to be any samples in the gallery yet and there where two. They where both great but I fell in love with this one //www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=318290&cat=7230
that little embossed camper is the cutest thing. I think I will still get the CTMH set Hook, Line & Sinker for my fishing pics but I have to get Happy Camper and the wheel for my camping pics and cookbook. Thanks for all the input.

I'm definitely not an outdoorsy kinda gal and don't camp - but I love the set. I think it's so cute. My sister and my mom and dad all camp, so I'm hoping my mom or my sis will get it so I can borrow it! LOL!

Our family camps all the time, so I was thrilled when SU came out with this set. I noticed in the gallery someone had already posted the idea I had...the truck from Loads of Love pulling the camper. Gotta love it!

I cannot wait to get this set...I'm bursting at the seams...lol. Our family does camp and this set will be great for cards and for scrapbook pages too. Funny thing is we are actually in the market to buy a little trailer too. How fitting.

I love the new camping set, especially the bear. I'm not into scrapbooking and can't think of too many cards to make with it so I won't be getting it. But I think it's darling.
