Default Help me....I'm just Another Pearl Ex flunkie!!!

I just started using PearlEx, so I'm not that great at it. I have done a few techniques, and they turn out decent, but.....

I can not figure out how to emboss with black, versamark the image and then color in with pearlex. Am I missing a step??(or half of a brain?) How do you versamark after you've embossed with black? How, how, how????

A perfect example of what I'm trying to do is on Stamper's Showcase today. It's a beautiful butterfly card by Jennifer Weide, and I just don't get it!! :?

At least you've used yours! I've had mine for almost 2 years and it's never been out of the container. Keep trying! Lots of times I've found it just takes practice on a technique.
