I have 9 Prismacolor Rebate forms that I was able to pick up here in College Station Texas. Be happy to send you one if you need it. E-mail me and I will send you my address/you can send a SASE and I will get it back to you ASAP. [email protected]
You do not need them if you cannot find them, just make sure you send in the packing slip and the invoice with the copy of the rebate form if that is all you have. This has been ok'd by Prismacolor, they called me today and said they will accept the copies of the rebate form.
They did specify that you should send both. I would call Viking and ask them to send one to you as soon as possible. If not, I have a number you can call Prismacolor directly to the person who is in charge of the rebates. PM me if you want it.
Since a copy is acceptable could someone please scan a rebate form and email it to me or post it some how so that anyone else who needs it would have access. I searched their website and was not able to find it nor did any of my local stores have it. Thanks!
Heidi
They sent me an email saying I needed a copy of my confirmation page of my order (this is what Viking emails you after you place your order) and the original copy of the packing slip. They email was dated yesterday and came from the Sanford Consumer Affairs.

I had sent my rebate in, BUT just with the invoice for the "receipt" since that is all the form had asked for. I also e-mailed Sanford first and they e-mailed back with a phone # to call for rebate info. and I called them and they said they haven't done rebates for Sanford for 5 years! :? So, I sent the rebate and invoice out just that way. I hope-I hope I still get the rebate, but if I don't I am still happy with our great deal. Keep your fingers crossed. Has anyone else sent it out this way??
Is this rebate good only with a Viking purchase? Dick Blick also has them on sale, not as good but in stock. We also have a retail store in my home town.
When I use them, I always use them with the stumps and the ordorless Paint thinner the Magic color technique. It comes out beautiful and so easy. I love the look, the colors are so vivid. When you get them you will have to try that technique. I have left the web site here for you to see.

Have fun. I used to love to color as a child and whenever I color an image I have stamped, I feel like a kid again, I love it, no matter what I am using to color. These are so nice though.
Ok, question... do you always have to use Gamsol or that Mona Lisa brand that Michael's sells??? I've got paint thinner as well as mineral spirits (both odorless) and am using the stumps (rolled pieces of paper, right? They're also called tortillions or something similar). In any event, I'm using S-Up's watercolor pencils and it's not blending. Am I doing something wrong or do I in fact need these Prismacolor pencils or I believe Lana uses Crayola's. Help! TIA.
I have never used this technique with the watercolor pencils, the Prismacolor that everyone is talking about is soft lead. I do not know how the watercolor pencils would work, but if you have just tried it, then I guess it does not work. You do not have to have Prismacolor pencils, any soft lead color pencils would work, but the Prismacolor are the top of the line and their colors are more vibrant. Prismacolor (Sanford) also makes watercolor pencils.
That is the only thing that I can see that you are doing that might be making the difference. Any odorless paint thinner should work just as well as the others, I do not have either of those brands and my coloring comes out very well.
Ok, I dug through my kids' pencil/crayon box, found some Crayolas, and attempted this <again> last night. It seems the MS/PT seems to soak up into the stumps, however, I have to *constantly* keep dipping it in to blend the color. And I'm not getting that really good blending, or at least it seems. Also, the cs gets oily somewhat and on that note, does this leave a residue on the cs? I would obviously let it dry before using. Am I the only one having problems with this??? I am using Mona Lisa paint thinner and mineral spirits from the hardware dept. at Wally World, both odorless. Help!
It says to let the stump soak in about a quarter inch of spirits and when you remove it you should be able to tap it on newspaper and see drops. Are you sure you are getting it wet enough. I used the Crayola pencils with turpanoid and they worked great, so did the Rose Art ones. I do have to redip, but you have to start with it a little wet to begin with.
Ok, so I looked at a copy of this invoice. Is this rebate only good for 48, 72, and 120 count purchases? I bought at 96 count set and I would love to get the rebate. Does anyone know?
