Smile Stampin Write Markers

Hi - I have a question about the stampin write markers. I have the whole set before the new colors. My question is this - My Pretty in Pink marker was dry on the fine tip end. I always store them in the container like they should be. The brush end is fine. I wanted the fine tip end so I pulled off the nib and put a small amount of ink refresher in it. It still didn't work so I put a couple of drops of reinker in it. Did I do something stupid? It seems to be working fine now.

Good question! I myself, have no idea, but it sounds like what I would have tried!

If it is working, it must be OK? Maybe someone with more knowledge will answer. I would like to know also!

You could call SU and inquire if you aren't to sure. You did what I would've done if I had the markers. I am thinking of getting them as well.

I actually had this problem recently. I found that the fine tip has to be pointed down when stored in the upright position.

Default marker storage

I was told not to store them upside down or right side up. The ink then goes to one end. They should actually be stored horizontally. They come that way in the SU storage container.

I store mine horizonally and have all kinds of problems with the fine ends not working right. Now I'm wondering if I should just store them fine end down for a while and see if that helps. They are about five years old anyway, but I rarely use the fine tips, so I've never figured out why they don't work worth a flip! The brush tips work great.

You did the right thing... you can reink your markers with the SU reinkers. Just a few drops does the trick.
