bride stamp?

Does anyone know of a good bride/groom stamp? I have happily ever after and was going to use it to make thank you cards for my wedding. But, the bride is so poofy! My dress isn't going to be poofy at all.

Anyone know of a slimmer bride stamp?? :)

Have you tried Joann's or Michael's?? My GF got a nice bride and groom at one of them.

no I haven't. I'll have to give them a try.

thanks!

I can recommend the perfect stamp for you, which I found at Michael's. If you can't find it there, you could probably get it on line. It is an image of the wedding gown and tux. They are in position facing each other, and posed, but there are no people. They are on hangers. It also shows the bridal bouquet. The actual image is 3 inches across the bottom and 5 inches high, so the block is probablly 4 by 6. It might sound strange, but it is a very, very elegant stamp.

The stamp is by Stampendous and says year 2002. Above the bar code intiny letters, it says R102 At the Altar.

I've used this for wedding and anniversary cards. It looks wonderful on shimmery white card stock stamped black. I did one in black and used watercolors to highlight the tux in gray tones and bordering blue. I highlighted the flowers in pale pinks, and put tiny bits of dazzling diamonds on the buttons down the back of the gown, and along the flowers on the overlay on the gown.

Best wishes.

I had the same struggle when I was looking for stamps when I got married. I found a great little pair at AC Moores. I've attached a card using the bride one. The groom one is just a basic tux shape. Simple and nice.

Another idea is using the dresses from Simply sweet. In this card that I've attached I have a red dress popping off, but I also made one for my flower girl where the dresses where the background was red and a white dress popped off the page. I've also seen it done where someone uses a marker to just stamp one of the dresses. The nice thing with the Simply Sweet set is that you can chose the dress that is most like yours, the down side is there aren't any tuxes.

There is a great dress stamp in the retired set New Beginnings. I use it quite a bit for wedding cards, and I did my sister's shower invitations with it.
You might be able to find someone willing to sell it or something. Look at the samples in the gallery for a sample of the dress.

I used the dress from that set to make notecards for a co-worker (she wanted to give each attendant a personal thank-you note).

Do you have a paper zone nearby? THey have a pretty good "bridal" stamp section. Or try Impress. Both of these are also on line :)

bride stamp

I just checked out the Stampendous site and here's the link for the dress and tux that was mentioned:

thanks ladies! I'll check it out. I've seen a stamp I'm interested in. I just can't remember who it's by. It's an outline of a bride and groom, very slender and sleek looking. No faces I don't think. I'll look around and make a trip to michaels!

thanks!
