Brayer & Plaid Maker Question!
 

I bought the brayer and small plaid maker but now have no idea how to use it! Lol!! I am wondering if in order to use the plaid maker I should have the foam brayer attachment and use it instead of the rubber one that came with it??? That's the only thing I can think of why it doesn't work. All that happens is I roll the ink over the top of the template and it doesn't go down into the "cracks" to make the plaid.

I feel like this should be fairly straight forward but....it isn't! Lol! :oops: HELP!!

Yes you will need the foam attachment to make it work right, but if you have a sponge and REALLY need to make some plaid now you can use that in a pinch...it takes about ten times as long but will work. So my advice is go ahead and order the foam attachment for use with your plaidmaker, also you can just make stripes on your card with the plaid maker and it is adoreable! I did that at my WS on Tuesday and all the girls loved it. Then we put crystal effects in between the stripes and then shook glitter on that...It was an idea I cased from Jen Stevenson ( thanks Jen!) and it was just too cute!!!

I will try out the sponge idea---I have seen that done too just I can see it would be time taking. Like the glitter idea---I'll try that one out for sure! :)

I also use the sponge daubers and this way i have one for each color that I use,... a little more control than the sponges and on glossy white paper it goes really easy!

I just ordered the large plaid maker...was going to go with the small one but changed my mind at the last minute! Should be here soon and can't wait to try it out!
