Default What to put in apothecary jars?

This is related to the Christmas gift thread -- I got some really pretty apothecary jars for my aunts for Christmas. I would prefer to take them out of the box and wrap them with cello and ribbon for a pretty presentation. I am looking for some inexpensive ideas of what I can put inside of them as well, not necessarily for more gifts but to make them look pretty and colorful. I am looking at any and all ideas. I would love to have some paper or handmade items to put in there, but it could also be food or whatever. Thanks in advance for your help and ideas!

I saw one once decorated by placing lots of ribbon and ornaments and pine cones in them. It was a centerpiece for a table, but it was beautiful! I think it would look nice under the tree!

Christmas ornaments look FABULOUS in apothecary jars - I have buttons and Primas stored in my 2 (HUGE) ones but I've been thinking of getting more to store "seasonal" items in (like ornaments, pinecones, etc etc etc).

How about making a pretty decorative band from DS paper/embellishments? It could be fastened either on the outside or the inside of the jar.

How about filling with loose tea and including a tea ball? It would look pretty and they could use tea too!

You could fill them with clear glass ornaments, the sort of pearly ones. If you take the metal tops off of them, it would look like a jar of bubbles.
