My bone folder is really all inked and messy looking, too! In fact, at the moment mine is lost somewhere in my stamping area, and I have looked for it all day.

Well, it's good to hear that I am not alone.. When I first started stamping, I thought, "I will never use one of those". Now, I am always looking for it so I CAN stamp.. LOL

Default bone folder

I use a bone folder, but only to fold paper. Do you use it for something different?

I use it to smooth out the paper when it is laying on a background stamp so that I can make sure to get all of the image..

I use it for a scoring blade.

There are other things but I can't think of any off the top of my head..

When I'm using a background stamp, I put a piece of scrap paper over my cardstock, then use my brayer to ensure that I get a nice image. The scrap paper keeps my brayer clean.

Default Bone folder

I use mine to rough up the edges of paper (distressing) - works better than my fingers.

Mine has black ink all over the tip. I used it to scrap glitter off my black ink pad. (I'm kind of messy.)

The Magic Eraser will take most of the ink off. It will also erase any logo on there, so be careful if you want to keep your logo. :-) (That sounded funny for some reason!)

Mine doesn't have a ink, but it has glue all over it.

Mine is warped as my naughty kitties tried to stamp without me and knocked my little jar of water over that someone forgot to put away... It's also stained a pale yellow from lying on said water on top of nonSU yellow paper... Yeah, kitties left a mess to clean up, as usual!

Just take a piece of Scotch tape and pick up the glitter that way!

The bone folder can be sanded - extra fine sand paper is best. I've sanded off many an ink stain and pen marks.

I just found the most AMAZING bone folder - it's not really bone - it is a TEFLON bone folder. It doesn't leave that "shiny" surface and is soooo slick! I bought it at www.Paper-source.com It's pricey, but I haven't had this good of folds ever!
