Hi,
I was thinking of making some beaded pens and wanted someones advice??
Do you recommend the microbeads from SU or Michaels?? Is there a difference?? Does one work better than the other and where in Michaels do you find them??
Thanks for your help,
Nicole

I'm not so sure the brand makes a difference, but one thing that will make or break your project is whether your fingers touch the beads. The natural oils in your skin will coat the beads and make it impossible for them to stay stuck to the pen, so if you're not allergic to latex you should consider wearing gloves.

My favorite source for microbeads is Penny Wise Art Supplies. http://www.pennywisearts.com/
Suzanne has fabulous customer service and the best price on clear and colored microbeads and redliner tape (O'So Sticky Tape). Plus I also know she ships to Canada. Tell Suzanne Purple Fran sent you ;)
I'm with Fran, pennywisearts is the place to go. Shipping is quick too!

Ditto what jenny4wheel and msamethyst1 said above. I buy the micro- and mini-micro beads for pens. They are smaller than the ones you find at Michael's and they show better detail of the stamped image under the beads.
