Default Cutting Out????????

How do you cut stamped images out?? Is it "free-hand"?? I don't cut much better than my 8 year old son and I'm a teacher. How sad is that??

You can use SU's layer ease to draw around the image then cut on the line. One package has 3 or 4 different widths.

There's another company, I forget who, but they have something similar to Layer Ease, but you can insert a blade, so you cut while tracing.

Good luck.

SU! papersnips works well for getting around all the tight corners of a stamped image. Fiskars also has one that is similar...they are both about the same price ($9.95 I think).

This scissors makes a world of difference and you'll be amazed at how good you can cut around a detailed image with this scissors!

Sunshine---I totally understand what you are saying. My cutting ability is not the best either. But a friend just received her Layer Ease so I am waiting to try it out!

If you want to cut around a shape, following its outline, good scissors make all the differnce in the world! I use the Paper Snips from SU! I used to use other paper scissors before they came out with the Paper Snips and they did no where near as good a job as the Paper Snips do (and they were from a very well known scrapbooking company).

The square and circle punches are also great for smaller images.

And for good cutting, I've always been told to move the paper, not the scissors! That seems to help me...and I hate cutting out things!

Another tip someone gave me is to move the paper, not the scissors, when cutting. This will also give you a smooth finished product.
