Default QUICK !!! ornament with picture

Does anyone have any ideas for an ornament with a child's picture in/on it? I just tried modge-podge on a photo and it looks terrible. I can see the lines on it even though I used a sponge brush. HELP!

How about the clear glass balls. Print your picture on acetate and cut a circle with a tab (to keep it upright). Roll the acetate and put it in the ornament.

I did this... printed the photo on ink jet transparency, cut it out and put it in a glass ornament. Worked REALLY WELL!!!!! I even found transparency film at WalMart!

I have tried to print on the SU acetate and it just smears. It's a real mess. I even chose the "print on transparency" setting on my computer. Any tips to make it work would be appreciated!

At an office supply store like Staples, you can buy transparencies that are designed to be used with your ink jet or laser printer. They are a little rough on one side to give the ink something to stick to. I did these last year and they came out really cute!

Thanks! I think I'll give them a try. We're heading up to that area that where Staples is anyway. Appreciate the tips!

I printed a picture of my kids in black and white on vellum. It turned out great. One thing that I would recommend is to role the vellum to the backside because the vellum does not unroll all the way like the transparencies do. (I hope that makes sense)

Maybe I'll try the vellum too, as I'm not getting anywhwere with the transparencies yet. My husband had some but I don't think they are the right kind as it made my GS look like something out of a sci-fi movie like Mummies! YIKES!
