Have any of you ever made a set of "all occasion" cards to give as a gift? I'm thinking I'd like to do several gifts for people and would like ideas on how to use the same stamp set and paper colors to made several cards. If you've done it and have linked your cards to the gallery can you post the link? Thanks!
Now I made these when I just got into card making, if I had to do it again (which I am planning on doing), I think I would make sure that each card used coordinate colours of paper more. For example pick 4-5 matching colours and only use those to make the cards.
Needless to say it was fun to do - all the best! And make sure to post them when they are done... can't wait to see your creations!
I do it all the time. I've given cards away, wraped in a ribbon, to party hosetsses, college students, missionarys, people having showers (baby or bridal). cards are a wonderful gift.

I don't have any pictures, but I have done that. My niece was doing a solo, and my sister asked me to make a set for her accompinest (sp?). Anyways, she LOVED them. I'm not exactly sure what I used-- No color theme, but I used many of the same stamps throughout the stack. I just tied them with a pretty ribbon, put them in a SU! bag, and plopped them in a gift bag. Good luck!! (ps;; show us what end up doing when you're done
Yes! I made a card using SU's Kanji with Real Red, Black, and Vanilla. Very Feng Shui and simple.
My aunt loved it and when her birthday came around, I thought of giving her a set of cards. I did a set of eight with two card of each symbol in the set. She loved it! (I also made her a set of cards with a dragonfly theme last year for Chanukah!)
Not only did she love them, but she joined our SU club when she moved here from Florida last year!
I did sets with the One Sheet Wonder style last year for xmas gifts and then had to make more for my sister to give. It was great and really got me going. That can always get me out of a slump. Although I did so many I ended up with severe tendonitis so bad that DH had to learn to carve the turkey and I almost couldn't work as my hands were curled up. Looked like I was 90 years old. But it was fun while I was doing it!!!!
I like to do 10 or 12. Usually, I put about 4 or 6 thanks you notes and then just two each of a variety of sentiments. Think I'll do that for the teachers this year.
Lisa, that is a great question. Thanks for posting it. I've been thinking the same thing for gifts since mother's day is coming up. Also for my SIL's birthday in the fall. Since I will be making so many it is a good idea to keep them simple so using the same SU set is a good idea. My family doesn't seem to appreciate all the extra embellishment I do so it is probably to my advantage to keep things simple. I appreciate everyone posting the links to some samples. I've got some great ideas too. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
I have two of the 8 cards to scan, but the set I made used all 8 sayings from Sincere Salutations - It made a really nice assortment! The cards were really quick - no extra postage required! but the layers of color make them look great.
