In the past on occasion I will find something on one of my boards that I know I did not pin. Yesterday I was cleaning up some boards and looked at one that has 2016 SU stamps.
I found 20 plus pins I know for a fact I did not pin because they are the two sets I dislike the most! Then I notice some were pined from Stamping Connection from which I am not authorized to pin from.
So I wonder what happened to the new stamps I did pin on this board. Doing some cleaning up before buying new iPad and did not want to transfer old data to new one, so thought I would clean up or would not have found this out.
Anyone else have tis experience?
To add insult to injury, as I was looking at a card site a pop up of Ashley Madison came up of all things. I sent Pinterest a note on this one.

On the pins you don't recognize - do you have any group boards or is the one you're seeing those pins on a group board? You may have been invited to pin to a public board and that's what you're seeing instead of one of your personal boards.
We'll isn't that a pain! No I haven't noticed that happening on my boards. I did a quick can eyeball scan of my recent pins and all seems legit. But I didn't look into specific boards.

I have deleated those pins from that one board, so I cant go back and check out if I see anything that you have suggested, but don't believe this to be the case. However, this does does not explain the ones that said "I" pinned them from Stamping Connection , and I am not authorized to pin from that site, I only look at their pins.
The latter one is the one I paid more attention to because I know I cant pin from there. It is a mystery, but with all the junk flying through space, it's a wonder there is not more misplaced items. A while back I was I unindated with " related" pins like crazy for two weeks and then suddenly just stopped. Thankfully I do not have a lot of boards, and try to keep the most relevant things on them, as I like to keep all my trash cleared.
Anyway I will keep on eye on things as it might just have been a "blip" like the rash if related notifications I got......fingers crossed.
I had some difficulty a while back just like this...only it wasn't even remotely connected to what I like. Then I ended up not signed in...and I couldn't sign in...because someone had signed up using MY name and MY email address. It got all messed up for a while, and I ended up using a different email address for my own account and I cancelled the other.
I know! I get so frustrated with them! I'm sure they hate me, because I get rid of advertisers I don't like especially the companies that flood my board. The shave club is one example, i don't like that my latest pins don't appear on my main page either!!! Walmart was another advertiser I had a hard time getting rid of, they were bad! Hope I'm not offending any Walmart workers here, but I'm totally not a fan of theirs. It's how they treat their employees that sends me into an instant rant, they're horrible! Deep breaths, ok I'll stop there!
Oh, yes, I forgot about the lack of your own pins. That REALLY annoyed me! Why should I have to have a separate link to find what i pinned. I pinned it because I want to see it, lol.
No. Thankfully. I experienced panic for a while though!
I stay logged in to Pinterest on multiple computers. Maybe not smart, but I did. When the first computer had me disconnected with a message that there was a problem with my account, I tried to log in but it gave me this other person's pins. After reporting to Pinterest, I decided to check my other computer here at home, and it opened to my pins. So I promptly changed my login info and password. Then deleted the other account. That person tried to restart that account twice, using my name and the first gmail. I kept cancelling the account. I haven't seen any other problems.
Lol, boy that really takes the cake. I don't usually log out of my app on my iPad but do so on our laptop. Perhaps that might be the answer. I have always put more faith in my Apple device than our laptop. Having said that, better not to tempt fate.
I don't know if this is new or not. But I've gotten emails from Pinterest stating something I pinned has been deleted. Cause of Copyright Rules.
Since the person that pin belonged too. Filed a complaint they have to take it down.
Has anyone else gotten a email like this?
I have received about 5 or so of these emails from pintrest.

That baffles me, especially if the source of the complaint was the original pinner and not somebody else who's copyrighted work they had pinned. Why wouldn't they put something they didn't want other people to pin on a private board?? Otherwise they should scarcely be surprised when other people start pinning from it when it's public.

I have no idea. I was under the impression that things on Pinterest where free to pin.
I've had those emails occasionally too. I'm guessing that it has appeared on someones blog at some time and someone else has pinned it from there. The original person clearly wasn't happy- maybe the person who pinned it removed the link to the original blog?Perhaps subbed there own blog name in place? That seems to me the only way there could be a copyright issue?Just guessing, as yes, normally anything on Pinterest if free to pin. Cook22, I got the impression from my emails that it was the original owner who complained, and that they hadn't pinned it themselves, but I may have that wrong. Not had one for a while.
I get a number of the "sorry, we had to remove one of your pins" type of emails. At the current time, most of my pins that are being removed are ones by an essential oil company. Others have been photographers. It is perfectly right and proper for Pinterest to remove them...at the request of the original's owner.
If someone has a copyright on their photos on their page, and they do not want those photos being spread all over the internet, then they can fill out a request for all pins with that content to be removed. It's a pretty strict process for them. It's not your fault, but technically the original person owns the photo in all types of reproduction.
Most people don't dispute it, in fact they prepare the content to be pinned to drive people to their site. They like the "advertising". But some don't.
I used to get those emails on occasion, but not recently.
I also used to be careful to write the blogger's name underneath if I was pinning directly from their site. I've found that most Stampin bloggers have their name on the photo anyway, so i have stopped taking the time, and pin with wild abandon.
I think that the ones I got notices on originally came from Flickr. Mostly nature photos.
