Question Flocking question

I hope there is someone out there with experience in this that can help me out. Is there a way to get multiple flock colors on your image without the colors getting stuck on each other? I am thinking to do one color, let it dry, then do the other? Would you do the light color first or the dark first?
Or if possible, start at the top and work down so the colors wouldn't run over each other when tapping off.

Any tips or tricks that have worked for you? Thanks for any help!!

I would start with the darkest colour first, and work in one direction and tap off the excess to the direction. I've made a card using flocking and made each flower a different colour and this is how I did it. In case you don't know this already, you can place a sheet of paper of top of your flocking and burnish it into the glue. It will stick better and won't rub off plus you get better coverage.

Thanks for the tip. That is what I would do with separate images, but what if you want 2 or more colors on the same image, where the different colors of flock would touch each other?
