I tried the cleaner and pad from Michael's; it's nowhere near as good as the one from SU. I also love the rubber and craft scissors. Again, I tried others, but the SU ones were much better and worth the price.

I think anything that coordinates is a must: inkpads or spots, cardstock, ribbon, designer papers. I think our dp are really nice for 3-D projects, especially the double-sided, because they're nice and thick. And I just love using them on cards as a background or an accent. My other easy-peasy, no brainer thing to use is the Simply Scrappin' kits. Love using those on quick cards (I don't scrapbook much!)

whisper white cardstock--it's so smooth and stamped images come out clear and vibrant
white gel pen--the best by far!
envelopes--like the whisper white cardstock, these have a finish that is smooth as silk! love they way they look and feel; stamping on these looks great!

Poor Lady - LOL
What were you were thinking asking SCS what to buy from SU??
LOL

To read this list - you need to purchase most of the catalog.... which *ahem* I think many of us have....

My favorite SU things:

Stampin' Scrub - so convenient to clean stamps as I go!

SU Paper and Ink - coordinates so easily!! No guess-work or agonizing over finding the "right" blue.

SU Punches - all of them are great~

SU grosgrain is much nicer and thinner than store kind.

Here are my SU must-haves! I used to be an SU demo so these were always ones that I recommended to my customers because I'd tried other brands and found SU's to be superior.

Stamp and Scrub and cleaner
Deckle Scissors
Ink/paper (I really never found any other brand that matches so perfectly)
White ultrasmooth cardstock (it really is the best, in my opinion)
Any flower stamp set and any expressions set (this makes for great all occassion cards)

As far as things you can't get somewhere else, first would definitely be the cardstock. SU's just can't be beat. The designer papers are very high quality as well -- thicker than you find in the stores.

Their inkpads are the best I have tried. I love the design of the case, and of course they match the paper!

I agree that the grid paper is a really handy tool, although it's not the most glamorous item to purchase!

I use the white gel pen all the time, mostly for faux stitching along with the paper piercing tool and the piercing template. It makes such a cool look and it's so easy.

The rubber scissors are the best I have used for cutting out your stamps. I had like three pairs of craft scissors from different places and thought they were doing the job fine. Then when I became a demo there was a pair of the SU ones in my starter kit, so I used them. Wow what a difference!! I wish I had these from the beginning; all those sets I cut out with my other scissors would have been so much easier on my hands!

Other things I use all the time (but you can find elsewhere): Staz-on black ink (GET THE STAZ-ON CLEANER TOO!) and my stamp-a-ma-jig.

I have read this thread with a great deal of interest...I haven't ordered new products for months, and now I'm preparing for a HUGE order! I think I'll be debating which of the retiring items to get.

I never considered the white gel pen...but now it looks like a must have.

For my part, I say a must have are the SU markers...I love colo

ring more details with them, and you get to sized tips, so it's like 2 in 1

I also love the aquapainters and blender pens

And I love my pastels...all the colors at a great price. Great for softer looks. My only problem is the container...very hard to open. I would use them even more if I could get them open more easily!

Have fun at the party!!

At the end of June, we'll have a good amount of ALL of the ribbons SU provides!

Great idea! Enjoy all that ribbon!

Another vote for the must have rubber scissors (but since I think I saw you weren't buying stamps, guess that really isn't necessary this time). Next I would also get cardstock, ink and reinkers (especially if you want last years 'in colors' as they will soon be gone...)

I forgot to add... if I had it to do all over again, I would buy the soft subtles marker set instead of inkpads for that family. I don't use these colors as much and I have the markers, so I can just ink up the stamps with the markers.

My must-haves that I prefer to get from SU are dazzling diamonds, white gel pen, and the glue dots. These are all items carried elsewhere, but I like SUs the best.

I know, I know...I said the same thing...but it really is worth it. Especially if you plan to continue purchasing the SU stamps and have to mount them yourself. They make a world of difference....they really do.

I would have to say it definitely is a must have! I resisted for years and then got the M's scrubber. After one time using it, I decided the SU! Stamp N Scrub was going on my next order. It's definitely worth it!

All said before but I echo it...white gel pen, rubber cutting scissors and cardstock and ink.

Available elsewhere with a coupon: staz-on and stamp-a-majig

Love my markers and the ribbon is an excellent value.

Have fun at your party! Aren't we good at spending your $$?! LOL
