Default NEED SOME HELP REME,BERING THIS Easter poem.

This is an Eastern poem that has items to go along with it. They were sent to me in a Easter egg swap I did last year. I hope somone remembers the rest of it for me.
Here are some of the items used in the poem and the sayings to go along with it. not in order since I can't remmber all of it.
a stone- for the stones they threw at Jesus.
a thorn- for the crown of thorns that was placed on his head.
a piece of cloth- for the cloth they cover him with after they took him down from the cross.
wood- for the wooden cross he carried.
nail- for the nails they used to nail him to the cross.
rope- for the whip they used to whip him with.
Not sure what the other pieces are and what they are for. I believe there is some kind of other cloth they used to clean his face with. And not sure what else the poem said.

I hope to gather these materials up and put them into eggs for all my nieces and nephews. As a reminder that this is what Easter is really all about. not the candy and goodies they sell in the stores. Parents in general need to let thier kids know what Easter is al about.

I know these as "Resurrection Eggs". There are different things you can put into the eggs depending on the ages of the children you are giving them to. I have done these with my kids and they love hearing the true story of Easter.

I did a quick google search and came up with the following links:

www.easyfunschool.com/article2110.html
www.rainbowcastle.org/resurrectioneggs.html
http://www.christian-homemaking.com/...ctioneggs.html

These are just a few... so feel free to search more on your own.

Note: One of the items that is some times used is a piece of bread (for the Last Supper). If you use this in your set of Resurrection Eggs, take it out before storing for the year. Fill that egg again in the spring so you won't have a moldy piece of bread to greet you.

One of the things I thought about doing this year is getting one of the cardboard egg cartons and using some mod podge and pretty paper on it to make the egg carton more festive.

Good Luck with the project. I know your nieces and nephews will enjoy it for many years to come.

My niece made these with her boys. Then they invited neighbor children to stop by each day just after school was out to see what would be in each egg and hear the story. Only two children made it all the way through the twelve days, but there were a few more who heard most of the Easter story.

I had the resurrection egg poem links also in my poetry thread. A friend and I were looking at them at Walmart and our local Christian bookstore and they were $13.00 a set! Much cheaper to make our own!
