Help with First Communtion card!!

My nephew, who is 8, is having his First Communion tomorrow. I am not Catholic and don't know the proper etiquette for a gift and card. I have never been to a First Communion. I am just going to give him money, but need to know what type of card I should make. I did a search under First Communion and all the cards have a cross and/or a religious verse. I do not have a stamp set that has a cross. I do have On Angel's Wings. What do you think? I don't want to make it to feminine. Also, could I just put Celebrate or Congratulations as the verse? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. TIA!!

Ok...Amy....that was way freaky. I just signed on to post the same question. I am making one for my younger cousin. I am considered Catholic...I was baptized but never went to religious ed classes to make my first communion or confirmation.

So...any help would be great. I have no clue what to write on the inside of the card. But I was going to use the little girl from Kids At Play and give her a nice white sparkly dress - and add some white ribbons to make it a fluffy white skirt. I just have no clue what to write.

Someone please give us some advice.

And funny. I think I could do so much more if it were for a girl. But a boy?? I'm clueless. Please help us!!!

So sorry I cannot help with a "boy" card...I seem to be in a rut with boy things. I have 2 nephews and lots of little boys in my family...but I am just a tad more creative on the "girly" side. I wish I could give you some ideas...but unfortunately...I am fresh out. :rolleyes:

Isn't there anyone out there who can give us some ideas? :(

I made one a few months ago using the angel from On Angel's Wings and wrote Congratulations on the inside. God Bless You is also good.

Do you have any sets that show a flying dove? Maybe you could do something cute with that, gold embossing or something. Rays of light coming down from one corner?
