Default Anybody ever seen a...

template for sale anywhere that's just like the one in the SU Crafter's Tool kit? I just want a simple one with small dots for piercing evenly and larger dots as well. I just don't need to spend my precious stamping money on the set when I only need the template from it.

Please oh please tell me there is one out there somewhere!!

TIA!

Default paper piecing template

THANK YOU!!! for posting that link. Don't laugh...I bugged my DH to death to get me a 1/8" piece of plexi glass to cut into a 4x4 piece. He did me about 10 of them...then I tried---get this---TRIED to drill all those holes in it --just like the one in the SU catty. Well,...DH laughed his rear off when I brought him a stack of cracked plastic!!! Boy, did that burst my bubble. I just knew I could make me one just as nice as the one in the book. I just don't need all that stuff the kit comes with for I already have it. And besides, I figure I can get more stamps for that price. Some day, I'll just break down and treat myself to that set----BUT--thanks to this incredible website and all you wonderful people, I can get the brass template for a fraction of the price. I'm off to order me one.....maybe one for a friend while I'm at it....tee hee.
Thanks again and rubber hugs,
Stef.

I've never tried this, but a friend of mine uses the top of an orderform to evenly space holes for eyelets.

(Sorry if this is a double post-my PC went wacky when I hit submit)

I purchased a Fiber Friend Template from www.scrapbook.com-It is a clear plastic one-12" long-I love it! I also purchased the eyelet templates. They are nice as well.

Hope this link works....
http://store.scrapbook.com/tt-00001.html Fiber Friends Template
http://store.scrapbook.com/tt-00004.html 1/8" Eyelet Template
http://store.scrapbook.com/tt-00005.html 3/16" Eyelet Template

The thing I like about the eyelet templates is that they are card sized!

Thanks for the link to the eyelet template....I was so excited to see it, but the other 20,000 plus SC's must have gotten there before me because it is out of stock ...but that is okay, they do have something you can click to give them your email to notify you when it is available again! Thanks so much, it is exactly what I am looking for!

In the quilt section at Joanne's there is template material. A thin flexible sheet of frosted plastic for making pattern templates. You could mark and punch the holes like the pattern sheet from SU.

Someone on this site posted that they used plastic canvas, the kind they use for needlework. I haven't tried it, but it may work.

HTH

I did find another site that had the 1/8 template and 3/16 and shipping is only a 1.00. The templates are 5.99. There are a few other templates also.
Its scrapntoday.com I don't know anything about the site but did a search online for eyelet friend template and this was the cheapest. HTH
