What is the best way to clean these?? Mine are tacky from the adhesive on the stamps... Want to get them nice and clean for new stamps I'm ordering.. TIA
Use your Versamark! Just rub the open scissors on the pad and wipe clean with a paper towel. It takes all the glue off. I use it all the time and demo it at shows.
Rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. I clean mine several times per set. I just get a little rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and move back and forth. It doesn't even take much effort at all.
Doesn't it ruin the versamark? I've always gone for what I know works and have never heard of using a versamark pad. Of course, being the paranoid person I am, I like the comfort of knowing the cotton is between me and the blades. I've already tried taking off my finger with the things. That really hurts.
WD-40 works great for removing the sticky goo from scissors and it helps keep them working smoothly, too! Also GOO GONE works, but we have so much WD-40 around the house I can't see buying anything else!
If you don't have Un-Do it is a must!!! This is what a lot of scrapbookers use. It is an adhesive neutralizer, acid free, safe, etc... You can spill it on pictures, paper, etc... and it leaves no evidence of being there. If you put a sticker on something and then want it off or need to move it, use un-do. It will lift right off. Let it dry and then the sticker will "re-stick" just like new. Neat huh!!! Also removes gum from hair (good to know with little ones!) and candle wax from furniture and carpet. Here is Oklahoma we can get it at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Walmart and Scrapbook Stores. Can't live without it. I keep some in my car, desk at work, and at home.
