I am not a Stampin Up Demonstrator, but I like the mini glue dots. I refer to them rudely as snot dots. BUT, I use them for buttons, and other items that I think the regular mono won't be enough for. I hope this helps!
Mini glue dots will hold just about anything.
If you have stamped on a transparency, roll up the glue dot into a 'snake', then attach it behind your stamping, and you won't even notice it!
I am not a SU demo either. I like the super sticky roll of tape (my demo calls it "red line" but I am not sure that that is the real name of it) that you cut with scissors and then peel off a transparent red backing. The adhesive is actually clear. It will hold almost anything. The package even advertises its use for repairs of stuff around the house. There is a photo of it in the back of the SU catty, and you can also get it at Michael's. It's the same stuff that is recommended for the beaded pens. Hope this helps.
I also use the Glue Dots. It is really hard to attach crimped paper and other 'bumpy' items. I find these work really well. If there are any other suggesstions out there...I'm open!
