Question Unmounted stamp storage...how do you do it?

I am getting ready to unmount my stamps and was wondering how everyone stores their stamps.
In binders...I can't use these with the stamping unit I currently have
In CD cases...these are great, but many sets won't fit in one case...do you use two cases, or three?
In envelopes (like CTMH)...these look like a good idea, but I would like some input from you....
How does TAC store their rubber?
What are the pros and cons of your storage methods?
I would really appreciate your feedback!!!! Thanks in advance...
Diane

I use CD cases, but I don't have foam on my stamps (just cling). So I'm able to use both sides of the inside of the case. Most of my sets I can fit into one case (even the alphabets). I purchase them from Polylinecorp.

You can purchase the envelopes that CTMH uses from their catalog, but I would think that could get expensive.

My thought on envelopes was to make my own...with 4.5 x 6 inch cards, laminated, in envelope made to fit. I was thinking about stamping the set on the card before laminating, as well as on the outside of the envelope.

I have some border and plaidmaker stamps that are 5 3/4 inches long that would never fit in a cd case...nuts! Neither would big backgrounds!

I you decide to store in CD cases, make sure you don't have the rubber side of the image past the open area of the hinge (hope that makes sense). I did that with several stamps and the edge of the front of the case made a permanent line on my rubber. :-( I like the cd case method. I tried the notebook method and they kept falling out.

I use sticker storage binders- mine happen to be from CM because I used to be a CM rep- but there are other makers out there as well. What I like about them is that the system takes up very little room- it is easy to see them by flipping through a book- it is ultra easy to take them anywhere- and you can use different size storage inserts for different size sets. The ones I use are like little envelopes so none of the stamps fall out of the binder sheet. Make sense?

HTH!

I use a 6 x 9 catalog envelope, sealed and cut in half. I use a photo sleeve to attach my stamps to. I stamp the set on the outside of the envelope (I have several that are 1 of 2 etc.) and I keep them in Karen Foster Snap & Scrap photo boxes.

They take up such a small amount of space, are easy to handle and because they have lids on the boxes, no dust!

There are approx. 55 sets (envelopes full) in each box!

HTH

Lightbulb I store mine

I store my TAC stamps in CD cases and label the end of the CD case, I also stamp on a white piece of paper with black ink each stamp.

So when I pull the set out, I can see which stamps are in this set.

I have my stamp in groups, Floral, Animals, Seasons, (Christmas, Valentines, Fall,)
Saying, Misc.
How I store mine it very easy to see which stamp set I want. Because they are in plain site.

Look Through my gallery and look for the Stamp room images. You will find how I store mine...
