Ask Beate - Adhering Die cut letters

I received a great tip that I didn't list from Heather:

I was just reading your response to today's Ask Beate question about applying words to cards.. I just went to my first ever card-making class at AbsolutelyEverything in Topsfield, MA, and learned about using sticky sheets. You know, large pieces of paper that have one side that's all sticky. I learned that one can die cut that with the sentiment and then peel off the back and apply it without any mess!
I also learned what "burnish" means.. and watched as some women there burnished glitter into the sticky side of the paper! I also learned more about heat embossing just by watching.. I had not been doing it correctly!- Sorry to go beyond the original sticky paper suggestion.
have a great day!

There's Also a new spray glue perfect for tiny die cuts. It's called E6000 spray.

Here is an email suggestion I received from Kathleen:

In response to the 'best glue for diecut words' question, i'd recommend putting double sided tape (with backing) on the reverse of the cardstock before diecutting. This gives you edge to edge adhesive and makes life very simple!

Here is another response from Susanne:

I buy Aleene's Clear tacky glue and always keep about 1/2 inch in a small closed container. Then, I buy a pack of those "cheap" $1.00 kid craft paint brushes-cut the brush tips off to a small size for "dabbing"...when I need to glue a lacy die back or letters--I dab the glue to the back with my Aleene's glue and paint brush...works like a charm-dries fast and clear! No messy gluey front either! :)

I always have the little machine 'the create a sticker machine'
by my side. Wouldn't be without it; you just drop the letters in the side and they get puled out with adhesive on backing of letters. They have three different size machines and I can always use a 40% off coupon
