Don't know anything about the zipemate but The Wizard is nice. A friend and I bought one together, though we don't use it very much. It eliminates the need for a light box, you can easily dry emboss on dark cardstock, metal, etc. In addition to regular brass stencils you can use the Sizzix, Fiskars templates and other templates with it and you can also use diecuts with The Wizard. Two things I do not like about The Wizard is that it outlines the edge of the stencil which is fine if you want to layer. The other problem is that some brass stencils have a little hole at the top which will become embossed when using The Wizard so you would have to be carefull when purchasing brass stencils. And, there are other things you can do with The Wizard. It is a fun machine.
