Anyone interested in.......
Joining a Circle Journal? I bought the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooking Friends and Family book (which I *LOVE*) and in it was a *GREAT* idea!
So here's how it goes.....
A circle journal is a book that's circulated among friends, each adding her own pages. It's not a new concept you may have heard it called a "Round Robin" before. ANYTHING goes in a circle journal!
To Get started :
1. Involve a group of friends! The journal will travel to each member. After you finish you will mail it to the next member on the list. Each person will have one week to complete their entry and them mail to the next member.
2. I will choose a theme and you will take your entry from there.
3. I will complete the first entry to get it started.
4. PLease mail it in the box provided to keep it safe!
5. Post a picture of your entry here after you have completed it.
6. When you have finished your entry email the next person in line and let them know it's on it's way.
O.K. after reading all that is anyone interested?
EDITED TO LIST MEMBERS!
1. Julie Brooks (JJBrooks)
2. Beth (showmestamper)
3. Kimberly (mamakimberly)
4. Emily (emilymomof3boys)
5. Julie C. (afancycat)
6. Amanda Sewell (amanda_sewell)
7. Molly(danssister)
8. Tasha (tc82742)
9. Angela Bounds
10. Juliana (julesiana)
11. TexasLonghorns

This does sound interesting. Let's see how many are game....
I live in a neighboring city to MamaK and Emily....so maybe we could be on the list to exchange it, meet up to pass it off, and then actually split the cost of shipping it off when it's time to really go in the mail. Maybe that would work for several if they live close enough.
Does this sound good to you, MK & Emily?

OMG, is right!!! I actually know them!! Your grandfather is always one of the greeters and I see him wheeling your grandmother around! I can't believe I know them....the church is so large it's hard to know everyone! If he were not a greeter I might not know them. I can't wait until Sunday so I can run and tell him, "Hey, I sorta know your granddaughter!!"
The world is smaller!! Isn't that nice!

I'm in. But I have a question, really stupid one too. We make a page using the theme you designate, but do we attach photos, or leave it blank for you to use with your photos (seriously, I'm embarrassed to ask).
At any rate, I'd love to play. Thanks for extending the offer.

No questions are stupid! It's up to you what you want to do on your page. The theme I think I am going with is "what are lives are all about" So on your page you can add anything you want to show what your life is all about.....family, faith, stampin' etc.....

I haven't seen it done that way, but then again I have only seen one group start one. You could start one after we get this one going. I am just going by the directions on How to start a circle journal in the Creating Keepsakes book!

Yes! These are the kind I'm familiar with! I have never participated in one but I watched other's post their's on another forum. Each person has their own theme and then you start your's with a intro page and a sign-in page then send it out! Each person adds to your book and works around your theme. I'll try and look up the forum if you are interested...PM if you are...don't want to kill this thread on Julie!! You have a neat idea going and you will have an awesome book when you are done Julie!

Although I am not signing up to participate, I would like to offer some unsolicited advice on circle journals.
COMMUNICATE! COMMUNICATE! COMMUNICATE!!
I can not stress it enough. When you receive a journal, e-mail the person it belongs to, letting them know you received it. You should also e-mail the person who sent it to you (as they may not be the same person). When you send out a journal, e-mail the person you are sending it to, letting them know it is on its way. Also, e-mail the journal's owner letting her know where her journal is headed.
It only takes a few minutes to send out a couple of quick e-mails, but believe me - you will all appreciate it immensely - knowing where your journal is in the process.
You may also want to send them using a receipt confirmation.
I was in a circle here on SCS not too long ago and several of our journals were "lost". I am saddened by it, but have learned a tough lesson. Good luck to you in your circle journal adventure! HAVE A FUN!!

O.K. Ladies we are ready to begin! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE follow the "HOW TO" so that this will work!
So here's how it goes.....
A circle journal is a book that's circulated among friends, each adding her own pages. It's not a new concept you may have heard it called a "Round Robin" before. ANYTHING goes in a circle journal!
To Get started :
1. The journal will travel to each member. After you finish you will mail it to the next member on the list. Each person will have one week to complete their entry and then mail to the next member.
2. OUR THEME IS..... "What are lives are all about" I will start the journal you will each complete a page! You are FREE to do anything on YOUR page that shows what your life is about. Example kids, faith, job, stampin' etc....
3. (thanks nessastamps)
4. PLease mail it in the box provided to keep it safe!
5. Post a picture of your entry here after you have completed it. If you wish!
I will post the book when it's finished!
I need each person to PM me their name, address and email so that I can set up the list! I will then email everyone a copy of the schedule in which the journal will travel.
Any Questions just let me know!
