Is your friend a stamper? If not, she really may not understand. All my stamping friends love looking at each other's cards and sharing our art. That's the best part of when we get together - looking at each other's creations! I love this website and I don't think you're big-headed at all. In fact, I think you're quite brave! I have not gotten the gumption up to post any of my cards yet and I applaud all the stampers here that do. I get lots of inspiration from the cards I find on here.
People on this site appreciate the work that goes into stamping. Lots of our relatives do not, they say, "Oh, that's nice" and don't think about it again. I don't think it is "big headed" you are simply sharing your work with others and possibly inspiring others to try new things. Keep it up! I had the same problem, people thinking I thought I was "it" and showing off. I simply love to share. I enjoy something, I want everyone to see it and benefit from it!

Hmmmm. Well, I don't think sharing your works of heart with others who may be interested is "big-headed". They can choose to go see them if they wish, or not, correct?
If your good friend does not choose to view them, well, that is her choice. Does she enjoy the cards you give to her? If so, then I am puzzled as to why she would care to comment in this fashion to you on the matter.
Either way, if you enjoy sharing your creations with others who share the same interest, I see no reason why you should not. It is part of the fun of this particular art form.

I don't think it is "big headed" at all. I think uploading cards is not only to show people what you have done, but it is also a way of showing people new techniques and ideas in crafting. After all, isn't this a resource site??
Getting nice comments on your work is just an added bonus! IMHO.
I don't think it's "big headed" at all either. if everyone was afraid of being big headed about sharing here we'd have a tiny gallery, but this site is a great resource, and it wouldn't be so great if no one was sharing!
by the way I checked out your gallery, and you've got some really cute stuff in there! tell your friend that she just doesn't understand, but maybe you can teach her. (hehehe)
My problem is that one of my friends (closest one I have) told me that it is "big-headed" of me to put my cards on this site and to ask all my friends and family to look at them. The only friends I sent the link to are the ones that I stamp with.
I think you may want to consider getting a new "closest friend". Friends are supportive - not brutal.
You're alright. It's not bigheaded, you're just sharing. Keep sharing.
I took a look at your gallery and your first cards are much better than mine were! I like them!

Nope, I don't think it's big headed. One, it's sharing what you enjoy with people. Two, how else can we improve our work if we don't open ourselves up for constructive criticism. You do awesome work!!!
NOT big-headed AT ALL. I think maybe your friend is jealous because your creativity is better than hers? I checked out your gallery and you have every right to be proud of your work! I agree with other posters who have said that most stampers LOVE to share their work and see what others have done. Your friend should be happy for you and proud of your work!!!!
Your work is awesome and I appreciate all the creative suport you give me as one of your other close friends!! I love your gallery and I may just start my own this weekend!!
Its not big headed. Your cards are a work of art. You put time and love into each card. We all share our work here and learn from each other. Please continue to post. I can't say how many times I have had stamping block and came here and people just like you who posted their work helped me out. Thanks for sharing your work!

The lack of support from others is exactly why we like to share our work on sites like this one. Another cardmaker is sure to appreciate your work, and the good feelings you get by posting one of your cards and reading the comment is sure to keep you going. Keep on posting!
Ok, Never in a million years would I have ever dreamed that I would be called an artist, crafty person, etc. This is why I love stamping...you dont have to be an artist...it brings the creativity out in most of us who never thought we had it to begin with. I am so amazed at myself and how far I have come in such a short period of time. I have lots of people including SCS to thank for teaching me and showing me how to create beautiful cards. Am I
BIG Headed...Heck yes and everyone on this site should be also. We all make beautiful cards and we should be proud. I love to share my creations with everyone and I love the fact that they love to share theirs with me too!
I am fairly new to this also and I think your cards are great. I don't know when I'll start a gallery; it can be a little intimidating with all the high quality talent. Keep sharing your ideas.
So does this friend think that professional artists who display their artwork in galleries are big-headed? Probably not...I fail to see the difference between an amateur stamper wanting to share her art and a professional painter wanting to share hers. We just work in different mediums, that's all! Sharing is a part of creative expression.
She is obviously not a stamper! You are not being big-headed in the least. I use my gallery to share what I am working on with my long distance customers and downline...I also use it because I like to keep a record of what I have done. (Now, I guess you could call it big-headed when I run and wake my husband from a nap to share with him the latest comments in my gallery...Tee Hee!)
Share Away!

I don't think it is big headed at all! Stamping is all about sharing your ideas and inspiring others with your creativity. We all come to this site for this very reason.
Who doesn't like to be told that they have done a fabulous job at something they have created!
nope - you are the bomb.... It's FUN to share our work and see what others are doing... it's like an art gallery- people who appreciate our art, come to our gallery!
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
No, I don't think that is "big-headed" at all. When I get a digital camera (I don't have a scanner either) I plan on uploading cards and will let all my stamping friends know!

I think all of us as members of the human race like validation of some sort or another. I wonder what hers is?
Not that I post work here (or anywhere else for that matter) just for the validation, but it's nice when it happens. I post to share and possibly pay back some of the inspiration or encouragement I've received.
Now I expect to see all new avatars for each of us with BIG heads!
